    Uninstalling The On-screen Manual
    Follow the steps described below to uninstall the installed on-screen manuals from your computer.
    Note that this uninstall procedure will uninstall all guides.
    1Click [Start], select [All Programs] (or [Programs]), [Canon MP180 Manual/MP160 
    Manual] and [Uninstall].
    2When the uninstall message appears, click [OK].
    When the message prompting you to restart your computer is displayed, click [OK] to restart 
    your computer.
    zUninstall the Printer Driver Guide and Scanning Guide.
    Delete the MP Driver and scanner driver to uninstall the Printer Driver Guide and Scanning 
    Guide.
    zUninstall the User’s Guide and Photo Application Guide.
    1Select [Applications] from the [Go] menu.
    2Double-click the [Canon Utilities] folder, then [IJ Manual] folder.
    3Drag the folder of your machine onto Trash.
    4Drag the [MPXXX On-screen Manual] (“XXX” represents 180 or 160) icon on the 
    desktop into the Trash.

    Transporting The Machine
    When relocating the machine or storing the machine for prolonged periods, pack the machine using 
    the original packing materials.
    If you do not have the original packing materials, pack the machine carefully using protective 
    material and a sturdy box.
    1Turn the machine OFF and unplug the machine.
    2Close the Paper Support and Paper Support Extension.
    3Disconnect the USB cable from the computer and from the machine and then 
    disconnect the power cord from the machine.
    4To prevent the Scanning Unit or the Paper Support from opening, secure them with 
    tape.
    5Cover the machine with protection materials attached on both sides and put it in a 
    box.
    ImportantTo protect the machine from damage, do not unplug the machine while 
    the Alarm Lamp is on.
    NoteIf using a transport company, clearly label the box as fragile.

    Canon U.S.A., INC. LIMITED WARRANTY (USA Only)
    The limited warranty set forth below is given by Canon U.S.A., Inc. (Canon USA) with respect to 
    the new or refurbished Canon-brand product (Product) packaged with this limited warranty, when 
    purchased and used in the United States only. 
    The Product is warranted against defects in materials and workmanship under normal use and 
    service (a) for a period of one (1) year from the date of original purchase when delivered to you in 
    new condition in its original container or (b) for 90 days from the date of original purchase for 
    refurbished Products. Defective parts or a defective Product returned to a Canon USA repair facility 
    or a Canon USA Authorized Service Facility (ASF), and proven to be defective upon inspection will 
    be (a) repaired; (b) exchanged for new or comparable rebuilt, recovered, remanufactured, repaired 
    and/or recycled parts or; (c) exchanged for a refurbished Product, as determined by the Canon USA 
    repair facility or the ASF. Warranty repair or replacement shall not extend the original warranty period 
    of the Product. A dated proof of purchase is required at the time of warranty service. A copy of your 
    dated bill of sale will satisfy this requirement. This warranty does not cover any accessories, or any 
    consumables, such as paper or ink cartridges, as to which there shall be no warranty or
