To avoid damage to the printer and electrical shocks while cleaning, observe the following precautions when cleaning. Clean the outside of the printer5-20 Routine Maintenance 5 2Firmly wring a soft cloth dampened with water or a mild detergent diluted with water, and wipe off the dirt. If you use a mild detergent for cleaning, be sure to wipe away the detergent with a soft cloth dampened with water. 3After wiping off the dirt, wipe the printer with a dry cloth. 4Once the printer is completely dry, plug the power plug into the power outlet and reconnect the USB cable.

Moving the Printer5-23 Routine Maintenance 5 4Clear out any paper that is loaded in the printer, and push the rear paper guide in to the position shown in the diagram. IMPORTANT If you try to close the multi-purpose tray while the rear paper guide is sticking out of the tray, you may damage the printer. Always check to make sure that rear paper guide is pushed all the way back into the multi-purpose tray before you close the multi-purpose tray. 5Close the multi-purpose tray.
