The [Add New Hardware Wizard] dialog box appears. For Windows 98, click 
[Next].
13Select [Specify the location of the driver (Advanced)], then 
click [Next].

14If the supplied LBP3500 User Software CD-ROM is not in the

(Recommended).], clear the [Removable Media (Floppy, 
CD-ROM...)] check box, and then select the [Specify a 
location] check box.
For Windows 98: Clear the [Floppy disk drives] check box and the [CD-ROM 
drives] check box, and then select the [Specify a location] check box.
16Click [Browse], then select the folder.
Select [D:\English\Win98_Me], then click [OK].

17Make sure that the folder to be browsed is displayed for 
[Specify a location], and then click [Next].
18Click [Next].
19Enter a new name in [Printer name] if you want to change the 
printer name.
NOTE
If another printer driver has already been installed in the computer, the message 
 appears. In this case, select [Yes] or [No].

20Click [Finish].
Copying files is started.
21When the dialog box for completing the installation appears, 
click [OK].

1Turn the computer on and start up Windows Vista.
2Log on as a member of Administrators.
IMPORTANT
If a dialog box appears by the Plug and Play automatic setup, click [Cancel], and 
then install the CAPT software using this procedure.
NOTE
Full Control Permission is required for the installation of the printer driver.
3From the [Start] menu, select [Control Panel], and then click 
[Printer] to display the [Printers] folder.

6Make sure that [Use an existing port] is selected, select the 
USB port to which this printer is connected, and then click 
[Next].
7Click [Have Disk].
8Insert the supplied LBP3500 User Software CD-ROM into 
the CD-ROM drive, and then click [Browse].
If CD-ROM Setup appears, click [Exit].

9Select [D:\English\Win2K_Vista]. Select [CNAB6STK.INF], 
then click [Open].
The CD-ROM drive name is indicated as D: in this manual. The CD-ROM drive 
name may differ depending on the computer you are using.
10Confirm the contents of [Copy manufacturers files from], then 
click [OK].
For example, when your CD-ROM drive is drive [D:], it is displayed as 
[D:\English\Win2K_Vista].

11Click [Next].
12Enter a new name in [Printer name] if you want to change the 
printer name, then click [Next].

13When printing a test page, click [Print a test page].
A dialog box appears after a test page is printed. Click [close] to close the dialog

cable, and then turn them ON.

computer and the printer is ON before installing the CAPT software.
