Chapter 2 Setting Up2-7 Setting Up Attaching the Handset to Your Machine Follow this procedure to attach the handset to your machine: 1Remove the screws from the plugs and insert the plugs into the holes on the handset cradle. 3Use your finger to push the screws into the plugs. • If you have difficulty, use a cross-point screwdriver to push the screws all the way into the plugs. Chapter 2 Setting Up2-13 Setting Up Installing the cartridge This section describes how to install the cartridge in the machine for the very first time. If you are replacing a used cartridge, see p. 12-6. Before installing the cartridge, be sure to read the following: •Use only FX3 cartridges in your machine. •Keep the cartridge away from computer screens, disk drives, and floppy disks. The magnet inside the cartridge may harm these items. •Do not store the cartridge in direct sunlight. •Avoid locations...

2-14Setting Up Chapter 2 Follow this procedure to install the cartridge in the machine: 1Make sure the machine is plugged in. 2Lift the latch and open the front cover. c Do not try to open the front cover without lifting the latch since this may damage your machine. 3Remove the new FX3 cartridge from its protective bag. •Save the protective bag in case you need to repack the cartridge at a later date. 4Gently rock the cartridge from side to side a few times to distribute the toner evenly inside it....
