  Brightness adjustment

You can resize a JPEG image to make the pixel count lower and save it 
as a new image. Resizing an image is possible only with JPEG 3, 4 , 
a , and  b images.  JPEG c images, RAW images, and frame-grab 
images from 4K movies saved as still photos cannot be resized.

You can crop a captured JPEG image and save it as another image. 
Cropping an image is possible only with JPEG 3, 4 , a , and  b 
images.  Images shot in JPEG  c or RAW, and frame-grab images 
from 4K movies saved as still photos cannot be cropped.

  Moving the Cropping Frame
Use < 9> to move the frame over the image vertically or 
horizontally. Move the cropping frame until it covers the desired 
image area.
  Switching the Cropping Frame Orientation
Pressing the < B> button will toggle the cropping frame between 
the vertical and horizontal orientatio ns. This enables you to crop the 
image shot in horizontal orientation to lo ok as if it was shot in vertical 
orientation.

Sensor Cleaning
The camera has a Self Cleaning Sensor Unit to 
automatically shake off dust adhered to the image 
sensor’s front layer (low-pass filter).
The Dust Delete Data can also be appended to the 
image so that the dust spots remaining can be deleted 
automatically by Digital Photo Professional (EOS 
software, p.598).

Whenever you set the power switch to  or < 2>, the Self 
Cleaning Sensor Unit is activated to  automatically shake off any dust on 
the front of the sensor. Normally, you need not pay attention to this 
operation. However, you can manuall y perform sensor cleaning or can 
disable this unit as follows.
1Select [Sensor cleaning].
 Under the [ 53] tab, select [ Sensor 
cleaning ], then press < 0>.
2Select [Clean now f].
 Select [ Clean now f], then press
