Note that when connecting GPS Receiver GP-E2 (sold separately) with a cable, preparations as below are necessary. - Update the GP-E2’s firmware to Version 2.0.0 or later. (Using the cable for connection is not possible with the firmware version earlier than Version 2.0.0.) - An interface cable (sold separately, p.469) must be used. When using the GP-E2 attached to the hot shoe , preparations as above are not necessary. For how to update the GP-E2’s firmware, refer to the Canon website. Wireless functions cannot be set if the camera is connected to a computer, GPS receiver, or another device with an interface cable.
