SETUP SEND 6 - 5 Manual Transmission (With an External Telephone) Manual transmission lets you hear the dial tone, ringing and fax receiving tones while sending the fax. 1Place the original face up in the ADF, or face down on the scanner glass. 2Pick up the handset of the external phone and listen for a dial tone. 3Dial the fax number you want to call on the external phone. 4When you hear the fax tone, press Black Fax Start. 5Replace the handset of the external phone. 7 - 3 AUTO DIAL NUMBERS AND DIALING OPTIONS Setting Up Groups for Broadcasting Groups allow you to send the same fax message to many fax numbers by pressing only five keys (Search/Speed Dial, #, the two-digit location, and Black Fax Start). First, you’ll need to store each fax number as a Speed Dial number. Then, you can combine them into a Group. Each Group uses up a Speed Dial number.
