Paper is jammed in the multi-purpose sheet feeder. 1Remove any paper from the multi- purpose sheet feeder that is not jammed. 2Pull up the jammed paper to remove it. 19 - 5 TROUBLESHOOTING AND ROUTINE MAINTENANCE Paper is jammed inside the MFC. 1Open the Scanner Cover by releasing the Scanner Cover release lever and lifting the Scanner Cover. 2Remove the jammed paper. 3Close the Scanner Cover. Paper is jammed inside the front of the MFC. Pull the paper toward you. Notep If the jammed paper is under the Print Head, unplug the MFC, and then you can move the Print Head to remove the paper. If the paper rips, the pieces of paper may get stuck inside the back of the machine. 1Remove any paper from the multi-purpose sheet feeder that is not jammed. 2Open the paper jam cover. 3To loosen the paper, slide the paper width guide to the widest position. 4Use tweezers to pull out the ripped pieces of paper. 5Close the paper jam cover.
