TROUBLESHOOTING AND ROUTINE MAINTENANCE 12 - 18 Checking the printing alignment You should rarely need to adjust the printing alignment however, if after transporting the machine your printed text becomes blurred or images become faded then adjustment may need to be made. 1Press Ink Management. 2Press ▲ or ▼ to select Test Print . Press Menu/Set. 3Press ▲ or ▼ to select the colour you want to check. The LCD shows the ink volume. 4Press Stop/Exit. You can check the ink volume from your computer. If you do not pack the machine properly, you could void your warranty. Caution It is important to allow the machine to ‘park’ the print head after a print job. Gently push the scanner cover support and close the scanner cover. 4Unplug the machine from the telephone wall socket and remove the telephone line cord from machine. 5Unplug the machine from the electrical socket. 6Unplug the interface cable from the machine, if it is connected. 7Wrap the machine in the bag and place it in the original carton with the original packing material.

The ink dot counter automatically monitors the level of ink in each of the 4 cartridges. When the machine detects an ink cartridge is running out of ink, the machine will notify you with a message on the LCD. The LCD will inform you which ink cartridge is low or needs replacing. Keep the ink cartridge in an upright position when you insert it into slot. Press down firmly on the ink cartridge until the hook snaps over it. 6Lift the scanner cover to release the lock.
