120K kit
When you see the following message on the LCD, you must replace the items in the 120K kit, which are 
the transfer belt cleaner, transfer roller, paper pick-up roller, separator pad and transfer belt.
Replacing the transfer belt cleaner
1) Turn off the printer power switch.
2) Open the top cover of the printer.

3) Remove the transfer belt cover.

4) Remove the transfer belt cleaner by grasping the handle and lift it up.

5) Clean the area where the new transfer belt cleaner is to be installed with a dry cotton cloth.

6) Put the new transfer belt cleaner into the printer by gently placing the brass bearings into the 
guides, and then pushing the handle down until the bearings click into place. Make sure the

5) Put in the new transfer roller by holding the lock levers of the transfer roller and adjusting the 
angle of the transfer roller lever shafts (both sides) to match the transfer unit grooves. Put the 
transfer roller onto the shafts and place the roller onto the springs as shown below:

6) Push the lock levers down to lock the transfer roller into place.
7) Close the back cover.

Cleaning
Clean the outside and inside of the printer regularly with a dry soft cloth. When you replace the toner 
cartridge, make sure you clean the inside of the printer. If printed pages are stained with toner, clean the 
inside of the printer with a dry soft cloth.
We recommend cleaning the following parts of the printer every 20,000 printed pages or every 12 
months:
■Paper guides of the paper tray
■Registration roller
■Paper pick-up roller
■Transfer roller unit
■Transfer...

Cleaning the outside of the printer
Clean the outside of the printer as follows: 
1Turn off the printer power switch and unplug the printer.
2Take the paper tray out of the printer.
3Wipe the outside of the printer with a soft cloth to remove dust. Dip the cloth in water and wring it 
out thoroughly for cleaning.

4Clean the paper guides of the paper tray with a dry soft cloth. Remove anything that is stuck inside 
the paper tray.

Cleaning the inside of the printer
Clean the printer interior as follows:
1Turn off the printer power switch and unplug the printer.
2Open the back cover of the printer.

3Clean the registration roller and the paper pick-up roller with a dry soft cloth to prevent paper jams.
When you clean the inside of the printer, pay attention to the following:
■If your clothes are smeared with toner, wipe off the toner with a dry cloth. Immediately wash your 
clothes in cold...

4Clean the transfer roller unit and the transfer roller guide with a dry soft cloth to prevent paper jams.
