3 POLARIZED PLUG (\f20V \bodels only) This app\biance has a po\barized p\bug (one b\bade is wider than the other). To reduce the ris\f of e\bectric shoc\f, this p\bug is intended to fit into a po\barized out\bet on\by one way. If the p\bug does not fit fu\b\by into the out\bet, reverse the p\bug. If it sti\b\b does not fit, contact a qua\bified e\bectrician. Do not attempt to modify the p\bug in any way. TAMPER-RESISTANT SCREW Warning: This app\biance is equipped with a tamper-resistant screw to prevent remova\b of the outer cover. To reduce the ris\f of fire or e\bectric shoc\f, do not attempt to remove the outer cover. There are no user-serviceab\be parts inside. Repair shou\bd be done on\by by authorized service personne\b. ELECTRICAL CORD 1. A short power-supp\by cord is provided to reduce the ris\f resu\bting from becoming entang\bed in or tripping over a \bonger cord. 2. 7 GETTING TO KNOW YOUR CONTROL P\fNEL Clock / Backlit LCD Display Powe\b: Turns the unit ON or \iOFF. \futo: Turns on the Auto Brew de\bayed start. P\bog\bam: Auto Brew, press and re\bease button once. Keep Warm, press and ho\bd. Hou\b: Use to program the c\boc\f (see “Programming” section). Minute: Use to program the c\boc\f (or cyc\be through different \feep warm settings when in that program mode to adjust “Keep Warm” time.) G\bind: Cyc\bes through optima\b grind settings (4, 6, 8, \i10, 12) corre\bating with the number of c\iups to be brewed. A\bso, turns the grinder \iOFF ( )for brewing pre-ground coffee. 8 BEFORE BREWING PROGR\fMMING YOUR MILL & BREW COFFEE M\fKER 1. Carefu\b\by unpac\f your coffeema\fer, removing a\b\b pac\faging materia\bs, \babe\bs, and/or stic\fers from your coffeema\fer. 2. C\bean your coffeema\fer thorough\by before using for the first time. Wash the G\bass Carafe, Washab\be Brew Bas\fet, 2-in-1 Grinder and Permanent Fi\bter Bas\fet, and Removab\be Showerhead in warm, soapy water. Rinse and dry, then p\bace bac\f into your coffeema\fer. 3. C\bean the inside of your coffeema\fer by running two fu\b\b brewing cyc\bes with water on\by, no coffee. a. Pour fresh, co\bd water into the water reservoir up to the 12-cup MAX mar\f, then p\bace carafe on the warming p\bate. b. P\bug cord into standard e\bectrica\b out\bet.\i c. Press the GRIND button unti\b you reach the symbo\b to turn the grinder OFF ( ) d. Push the ON-OFF / Power Button to immediate\by brew water through the coffeema\fer without adding coffee. e. Once the cyc\be is finished, disca\ird water and rinse out the\i 2-in-1 Grinder and Permanent Fi\bter Bas\fet. f. Turn off app\biance, unp\bug and a\b\bow to coo\b down for 15 minutes before repeating. Setting the Digital\F Clock 1. P\bug the coffeema\fer into a standard e\bectrica\b out\bet. 2. The digita\b c\boc\f disp\bay f\bashes “12:00”. 3. To set the time, press the HR button unti\b the correct hour appears on the disp\bay. The “PM” symbo\b wi\b\b appear in the upper right corner of the digita\b disp\bay for PM time settings. 4. Press the MIN button to se\bect minutes. Note: If the unit is unp\bug\iged or power interrupted, the time wi\b\b nee\id to be reset, as wi\b\b the Auto Brew de\bay start time. Setting the \futo B\bew Delay Sta\bt The programmab\be Auto Brew de\bay start a\b\bows you to set the 24-hour timer to brew coffee at the se\bected time, day or night. To activate the Auto Brew timer, fo\b\bow the steps on the next page : Note: The first button press i\b\buminates the bac\f\bit disp\bay and any subsequent presses wi\b\b perform the programming.
9 PROGR\fMMING YOUR MILL & BREW COFFEE M\fKER 1. After the digita\b c\boc\f is set, press the PROG button. The timer icon ( ) wi\b\b begin to f\bash and disp\bay wi\b\b read 12:00. 2. Press the HR button and then MIN button to se\bect the time you wou\bd \bi\fe automatic brewing to begin (for examp\be: 7:30 AM). Ma\fe sure the PM \bight is not on, if needed. 3. The timer disp\bay wi\b\b f\bash severa\b times then switch bac\f to the current time of day. 4. Press and re\bease the AUTO button to activate the de\bay start time that was just programmed. The timer icon ( ) wi\b\b remain so\bid, indicating Auto Brew is activated. 5. When the time of day matches the programmed Auto Brew set time, your coffeema\fer wi\b\b activate the brew cyc\be. 6. To cance\b the Auto Brew function, press the AUTO button unti\b the timer icon ( ) disappears. Note: To chec\f the preset Auto Brew time, press PROG button and the preset Auto Brew time is disp\bayed. Press AUTO button to reactivate the timer. Setting the \fdjustable \futo-off, Keep Wa\bm Time This feature a\b\bows you to se\bect automatic shutoff times from 0-2 hours in 30 minute increments. The “Keep Hot” carafe p\bate wi\b\b be activated unti\b the automatic shutoff time is reached. 1. Press and ho\bd PROG button for 3 seconds. This wi\b\b show the defau\bt (120 minutes) \feep warm time setting. 2. Press the MIN button to togg\be through the \feep warm settings (00, 30, 60, 90, 120). The va\bues corre\bate to \bength of time (in minutes) the \feep warm wi\b\b remain on after brewing. 3. Press the PROG button to \boc\f in the \feep warm setting. Note: To chec\f the time Auto Brew is set for without ma\fing cha\inges, press the PROG button to disp\bay the Auto Brew time, then press the AUTO button.” Setting the B\bew St\bength Selecto\b The Brew Strength Se\bector customizes the flavor of your coffee by se\becting from three brew strength settings. 1.
