Display Setup 13.8.4 ScenergiX overlap zone (vertical scenergix) Definitions Image 13-17 Scenergix overlap zone vertical Overlap : number of pixels that overlap Vertical resolution of 1 projector : 768 for Graphics versions, 1024 for Reality versions, 1050 for SXGA projectors. Total vertical screen resolution : [(Vertical resolution of 1 projector) x 2] minus (overlap) Vertical Resolution source : number of active lines of the source Adjustment of Active lines (Lact) of the first projector 1. Go to File –> Edit menu of first projector. 2. Enter value for vertical act (= Lact) as follows : Lact = [(vert.. resolution of 1 projector)/(Total Vert. screen resolution)] x (Verti. resolution source) 3. Vertical start (= Lstart) remains the same. Adjustment of Active lines (Lact) of second projector 1. Go to File –> Edit menu of second projector. 2. Enter value for vertical act (= Lact) as follows : Lact = [(Vert.. resolution of 1 projector)/(Total vert. screen resolution)] x (vert. resolution source) 3. Vertical start (= Lstart) = original start + [(Vert. resolution source) minus (newly calculated Lact)] Example Vertical resolution source : 1200 lines Vertical resolution projector 1 & 2: 768 lines Overlap : 50 lines Total vertical screen size : 1486 lines Lact projector 1 = (768 / 1486) x 1200 = 620 lines Lact projector 2 = (768 / 1486/) x 1200 = 620 lines Lstart projector 2 = Lstart projector 1 + (1200 – 620) 13.8.5 ScenergiX border adjustment What can be done with the ScenergiX border menu? When on an adjustment, use the→or←key to move the border line to the desired position. The border line will move in the desired direction and the light output in the overlap area will be adapted to. When on an adjustable item, the input box background will be colored. PressENTER. The value will change to a 3 digit value and the first digit is selected. 2. Enter a value with the digit keys on the remote control. The cursor jumps automatically to the next digit. 3. PressENTERto activate the new value. Use reset to return to the default settings. 13.8.6 Black level of the images Why For dark images, the overlap zone will be brighter then the rest of the images. Adjust the black level of area A until the black level of area A, B and C or equal (area C should be adjusted on the second projector). (image 13-23) Use the up or down arrow key to select the adjustment (All, Red, Green or Blue) Use the left or right arrow key to select the adjustment direction and speed. PressENTERto increment or decrement the value. Stay pressing onENTERuntil the desired value is reached. Motorized lenses can be adjusted in the installation menu or via the dedicated keys on the remote (see chapter “Getting Started”, “Quick lens adjustment”). The following parameters can be adjusted: •Zoom • Focus • Shift (also for non motorized lenses) How to Zoom/focus or shift ? 1. PressMENUto activate the menu bar. 2. Press→to select theInstallation. In some cases the projector address must be changed, for example if an unique RCU is used to control 2 or more projectors in a room. The projector address setting on the projector must match the setting on the RCU. What can be changed ? Within the ’Change Projector Address’ menu, the following items can be changed •Projector address: address defined by the user. Can be set between 0 and 255 when controlled via RS232 and between 0 and 9whencontrolledviatheRCU • Common address : address may be 0 or 1 How to change the projector’s address ? 1. Each function which is not password protected can be associated to a function key. How to get an overview of the quick access keys ? 1. PressMENUto activate the menu bar. 2.
