Quality
The camera's qualty settng adjusts the compresson 
rato of the mages. Hgher qualty settngs produce better 
qualty photos, but wll take up more memory space.
There are three optons for pcture qualty:

  : Qualty: Best
• 
  : Qualty: Fne
• 
  : Qualty: Normal
Size
The sze settng refers to the mage resoluton n pxels. A 
hgher mage resoluton allows you to prnt that mage n 
larger szes wthout degradng the mage qualty. 
The bgger the number of recorded pxels s, the 
better the mage qualty becomes. As the number of 
recorded pxels becomes  smaller, you wll be able to 
record more mages on a memory card.

Color
The color settng allows you to add artstc color effects 
when takng pctures. You can try dfferent color tones to 
alter the mood of your pctures.

For optimal video shooting, it is recommended that 
an SD card be used. If you try to shoot video with 
just internal memory the results may show picture 
jitter, noise and a short recording.
During the shooting, both optical zoom and up to 
4.5x digital zoom are available.

In the "ASCN" mode, dfferent recordng condtons are 
detected ntellgently and the most sutable settngs wll be 
automatcally selected.

To use "ASCN":
1.
   Turn the mode dal to "ASCN", The LCD screen wll 
dsplay the followng cons.
2.  Hold the camera steadly and am at the subject. The 
optmum scene mode wll be dentfied automatcally. 
3.  Press the Shutter button halfway down to focus.
4.  Press the Shutter button all the way down to take the 
pcture.
Landscape Mode
For landscapes, ASCN w
 ll automatcally adjust the 
exposure to match the background. 
Portrait Mode
For portra

ts, ASCN wll automatcally adjust the exposure 
and skn tones to gve clear pctures.

Night Portrait
When you taken portrats at n ght, or  n low l ght cond t ons, 
ASCN wll automatcally adjust the exposure for people and 
nght scenes.
Backlit Portrait
When the sun or any other l
 ght source s behnd you, 
ASCN wll automatcally adjust the foreground exposure to 
produce good pctures.
Night Landscape Mode
For n

ght scenes, ASCN wll automatcally ncrease the ISO 
value to compensate for low lght.
Macro Mode

o produce more deta led close-ups, ASCN w ll automat cally 
engage the lens Macro mode and automatcally focus the  lens.
Auto Mode
The camera w

ll automatcally adjusts the exposure and 
focus to ensure good pctures.
Panorama
Panorama Mode allows you to create a panoramc pcture. 
The camera wll automatcally compose a panoramc pcture 
usng the ndvdual shots that you take.
Follow these steps to create a panoramc pcture:
1.  Turn the mode dal to the Panorama Mode.
2.  Use the Left/Rght buttons to specfy the drecton of of 
the photo sequence. If nothng s chosen, n 2 seconds 
the panoramc sequence wll commence at the default 
drecton of left to rght.
3.  Compose the first vew of the panoramc pcture on the 
LCD screen and press the Shutter button to capture 
the photo.
4.

  After the first shot s taken, two target cons wll 
appear on the left and rght sde of the LCD screen. Pan 
the camera and the crcle con on the screen wll move 
towards the square frame con. When the crcle con 
and square frame overlap and turn green, the camera 
w

ll capture the mage automatcally. Repeat ths step 
for the thrd pcture n the seres.

Flash Mode, Self-tmer, Macro Mode, and Exposure 
Compensaton are dsabled n Panorama Mode.
Pctures cannot be deleted, and the zoom wll be 
dsabled untl the seres s finalzed.
Panorama Mode can sttch 2 or 3 pctures maxmum. 
In Manual Scene mode, you can select from a total of 20 
scene types to match your needs. The camera w ll auto-
mat
cally adjust to the optmal settngs based on the scene 
type that s chosen.
To enter the Scene Mode, turn the mode dal to  Manual 
Scene  mode. The Scene Mode palette w
 ll appear.
