Prestige 334 User’s Guide Chapter 31 System Maintenance 300 Figure 168 Budget Management The total budget is the time limit on the accumulated time for outgoing calls to a remote node. When this limit is reached, the call will be dropped and further outgoing calls to that remote node will be blocked. After each period, the total budget is reset. The default for the total budget is 0 minutes and the period is 0 hours, meaning no budget control. You can reset the accumulated connection time in this menu by entering the index of a remote node. Enter 0 to update the screen. The budget and the reset period can be configured in menu 11.1 for the remote node. 31.2.2 Call History This is the second option in Menu 24.9 - System Maintenance - Call Control. It displays information about past incoming and outgoing calls. Enter 2 from Menu 24.9 - System Maintenance - Call Control to bring up the following menu. Menu 24.9.1 - Budget Management Remote Node Connection Time/Total Budget Elapsed Time/Total Period 1.MyISP No Budget No Budget Table 99 Menu 24.9.1 - Budget Management FIELDDESCRIPTION Remote NodeEnter the index number of the remote node you want to reset (just one in this case) Connection Time/Total BudgetThis is the total connection time that has gone by (within the allocated budget that you set in menu 11.1). Elapsed Time/Total PeriodThe period is the time cycle in hours that the allocation budget is reset (see menu 11.1.) The elapsed time is the time used up within this period. Enter “0” to update the screen or press [ESC] to return to the previous screen.

There is also a software mechanism to set the time manually or get the current time and date from an external server when you turn on your Prestige. Menu 24.10 allows you to update the time and date settings of your Prestige. The real time is then displayed in the Prestige error logs and firewall logs. Not all timeservers support all protocols, so you may have to check with your ISP/network administrator or use trial and error to find a protocol that works. The main differences between them are the format. Daytime (RFC 867) format is day/month/year/time zone of the server. Time (RFC-868) format displays a 4-byte integer giving the total number of seconds since 1970/1/1 at 0:0:0. NTP (RFC-1305) the default, is similar to Time (RFC-868). None enter the time manually. Time Server AddressEnter the IP address or domain name of your timeserver. Check with your ISP/ network administrator if you are unsure of this information. The default is tick.stdtime.gov.tw Current TimeThis field displays an updated time only when you reenter this menu. New TimeEnter the new time in hour, minute and second format. Current DateThis field displays an updated date only when you reenter this menu. New DateEnter the new date in year, month and day format. Time ZonePress [SPACE BAR] and then [ENTER] to set the time difference between your time zone and Greenwich Mean Time (GMT). Daylight SavingDaylight Saving Time is a period from late spring to early fall when many countries set their clocks ahead of normal local time by one hour to give more daylight time in the evenings. If you use daylight savings time, then choose Ye s. Start DateEnter the month and day that your daylight-savings time starts on if you selected Ye s in the Daylight Saving field.

End DateEnter the month and day that your daylight-savings time ends on if you selected Ye s in the Daylight Saving field. Once you have filled in this menu, press [ENTER] at the message “Press ENTER to Confirm or ESC to Cancel“ to save your configuration, or press [ESC] to cancel. Prestige 334 User’s Guide Chapter 32 Remote Management 306 CHAPTER32 Remote Management This chapter covers remote management (SMT menu 24.11). 32.1 Remote Management Remote management allows you to determine which services/protocols can access which Prestige interface (if any) from which computers. You may manage your Prestige from a remote location via: To disable remote management of a service, select Disable in the corresponding Server Access field. Enter 11 from menu 24 to bring up Menu 24.11 – Remote Management Control. • Internet (WAN only)• ALL (LAN and WAN) • LAN only• Neither (Disable). Note: When you Choose WAN only or ALL (LAN & WAN), you still need to configure a firewall rule to allow access.

PortThis field shows the port number for the service or protocol. You may change the port number if needed, but you must use the same port number to access the Prestige. AccessSelect the access interface (if any) by pressing [SPACE BAR], then [ENTER] to choose from: LAN only, WAN only, ALL or Disable. Secure Client IPThe default 0.0.0.0 allows any client to use this service or protocol to access the Prestige. Enter an IP address to restrict access to a client with a matching IP address. Once you have filled in this menu, press [ENTER] at the message Press ENTER to Confirm or ESC to Cancel to save your configuration, or press [ESC] to cancel.

If it does not match, the Prestige will disconnect the session immediately. 4There is an SMT console session running. 5There is already another remote management session with an equal or higher priority running. You may only have one remote management session running at one time. 6There is a firewall rule that blocks it.
