Music Finder – Calling Up Ideal Panel Setti ngs (Voice, Style, etc.) for Each Song –
3Press the [5 ] (ADD TO MF) button to register the selected 
data to Music Finder.
The display automatically changes to  the Music Finder Record Edit display.
4Press [8 ] (OK) button to start the registration.
Press the [8  ] (CANCEL) button to cancel the registration.
5Check the song data is added in the MUSIC FINDER display.
The song data is shown as SONG or AUDIO in the STYLE column....

Registration Memory
– Saving and Recalling Custom Panel Setups –
The Registration Memory 
function allows you to save (or “register”) 
virtually all panel settings to a Registration Memory button, and then 
instantly recall your cust om panel settings by simply pressing a single 
button. The registered settings for  eight Registration Memory buttons 
should be saved as a single Bank (file). 
1Set up the panel controls (such as Voice, Style, effects, and so 
on) as desired....

Registration Memory – Saving and  Recalling Custom Panel Setups –
4Press one of the REGISTRATION MEMORY [1]–[8] buttons to 
which you wish to memorize the panel setup.
The memorized button becomes red, which indicates the number button contains 
data and its number is selected.
5Register various panel setups to other buttons by repeating 
steps 1–4.
The registered panel setups can be recalle d by simply pressing the desired number 
button.

Recalling a Registered Panel Setup
The saved Registration Memory Bank files can be recalled by using the REGIST BANK [-]/ [+] buttons or the following 
procedure. 
1Press the REGIST BANK [+] and [-] buttons simultaneously to 
call up the REGISTRATION BANK Selection Display.
2Press one of the [A]–[J] buttons to select a Bank.
You can also use the [DATA ENTRY] dial  and the [ENTER] button to select a 
Bank.
3Press one of the blue-lit numbered buttons ([1]–[8]) in the Reg-

– Recording and Playback Audio Files –
The Tyros4 lets you record your performances as audio data to internal 
hard disk drive via the two different recording modes, Simple and 
Multi Track.
With Simple recording, you can record your performance using the 
desired Voices, Styles, Multi Pads and microphone sound quickly and 
easily to an audio file. This  mode is intuitive and fast.

• Internal sound of the Tyros4 (Keyboard parts (Right 1, Right 2, Right 3, Left), Multi Pad,  Song parts, Style parts)
• Input from a microphone (via the [MIC] jack)
Simple Recording
1Set the desired Voice, Style, etc. for your recording.

6When your performance is finished, press the [STOP] button to 
stop recording.
7To hear your new recording, press the [PLAY/PAUSE] button.
If you want to add a different phrase  to the already-recorded data, press the 
AUDIO RECORDER/PLAYER [REC] button followed by the [F] (YES) to call 
up the Multi Track Recorder display, then  go to step 5 of “Multi Track Recording” 
on page 78.

Next, let’s record your singing to the Sub track. You can record your vocals while listening 
to playback of the Main track.
5Practice the part (sing into the microphone) to check the level 
and adjust the recording volume on the REC MONITOR meter 
by using the [6  ] buttons or sliders.
Adjust so that the volume doesn’t constantly go into the “red” and light up the 
indicator. If it does, you may have to turn the microphone input level down a bit.

Next, mix all data from the Main track and Su b track to one track (Main track). This pro-
cedure (below) is called Bounce recording.
11Press the [B] (RECORDING MODE), and then use the [B]/[C] 
buttons to select “BOUNCE.”
After selection, press the [EXIT] button to return to the previous display.
12Press the [REC] button then press the [G] (YES) button.

times to call up the desired Audio File selection display (AUDIO 
(MULTI), AUDIO (SIMPLE) or PLAYLIST).
The Simple and Multi Track files can be added to the Playlist, and from within the
