By connecting a microphone, you can enjoy singing along with your keyboard perfor-
mance or with Song playback (KARAOKE), as
 well as recording your vocal performance 
using the Audio Recorder function. Make sure you have a conventional dynamic micro-
phone.
1Before turning the power on, set the [MIC GAIN] to “MIN.”

Adjust the controls so that the INPUT LEVEL meter lights in green or yellow on 
the MIC SETTING display (called up by  pressing the [MIC SETTING] button).

Use the [TO RIGHT SPEAKER], [TO LEFT SPEAKER] and [TO SUB WOOFER L/R] jacks. See page 106.
Using External Audio Devices for Playback
The [LINE OUT] jacks are used to send the Tyro s4 output to a keyboard amplifier, stereo

Playing External Audio Devices with the Tyros4
You can connect the output jacks of an external device (such as CD player, MP3 player, 
tone generator etc.) to the instrument’s AUX IN [L/L+R]/[R] jacks, letting you hear the 
sound of that device through the headphones or optional Yamaha TRS-MS04 speaker of 
the Tyros4.

You can connect the Tyros4 directly to an ex ternal monitor for displaying the lyrics and 
chords of your song data on a large screen. There are two kinds of output connectors: RGB 
OUT (for a computer monitor) and VIDEO OU T (for a TV or video monitor). The RGB 
OUT terminal delivers higher resolution than the VIDEO OUT jack.

One or two optional Yamaha FC4 or FC5 footswitches and an optional Yamaha FC7 Foot
