700.2 INTRODUCTiON 
This section provides common maintenance, trouble 
-shooting 
and repairinstructions for the STAR PLUS 
308 Key Telephone System. It is advisable to use 
the latest issue manual and supporting 
documentation whenever possible. 
The 308 architecture is designed so that all solid 
state circuitry is enclosed in the KSU. There are no 
modular or replaceable type printed circuit cards...

occurs, steps can be taken to localize the problem. 
700.10 POWER FAILURES 
The loss of commercial-power will shut the system 
down, unless external battery back-up is provided. 
‘This loss of power could come from tripped circuit 
‘breakers, AC cords unplugged, or a fuse blown. 
‘When a power failure occurs, test for voltage 
iworking toward the source. The power monitor 
LED will remain lit when power is present....
