45 GB Troubleshooting Here are some simple solutions to problems which may affect the picture and sound. Problem Possible solution No picture No picture (screen is dark) and no sound. Check the aerial connection. Connect the TV to the mains, and press the power switch on the right side of the TV set. If the (standby) indicator is on, press AUX/VIDEO on the remote control. 46 Stripe noise during playback/recording of a VCR. Video head interference. Keep your VCR away from the TV. Leave a space of 30 cm between your VCR and the TV set to avoid noise.
