    Setting the sleep timer
    You can specify the amount of time before your TV 
    automatically turns off.
    To set the sleep timer:
    1Press MENU. The on-screen menu opens.
    2Press 
    W or X to highlight SETUP, then press T or 
    ENTER. The SETUP menu opens.
    3Press 
    S or T to highlight Time Setup, then 
    press ENTER. The SETUP · TIME SETUP menu 
    opens.
    4Press 
    S or T to highlight Sleep Timer, then 
    press ENTER. A menu opens.
    5Press 
    S or T to selec t the amount of time before 
    your TV turns off automatically. You can select 
    Off, 5 minutes, 10 minutes, 15 minutes, 
    30 minutes, 60 minutes, 90 minutes, 120 
    minutes, 180 minutes, or 240 minutes.
    To turn off the sleep timer, select Off.
    6Press MENU to return to the previous menu, or 
    press EXIT to close the menu.
    Adjusting menu settings
    Selecting the menu language
    Your TV can display the on-screen menu in English, 
    French, or Spanish. When you set your TV up for the 
    first time, the language was selected. You can 
    change the menu language to a different language.
    To select the menu language:
    1Press MENU. The on-screen menu opens.
    2Press 
    W or X to highlight SETUP, then press T or 
    ENTER. The SETUP menu opens.
    3Press 
    S or T to highlight Language, then press 
    ENTER. A menu opens.
    4Press 
    S or T to highlight a language, then press 
    ENTER. You can select English, Français, or 
    Español.
    5Press MENU to return to the previous menu, or 
    press EXIT to close the menu.
    Turning Input Sensor on or off
    When the Input Sensor feature is turned on, your TV 
    automatically detects which video jacks have 
    devices connected to them. Your TV uses this 
    information to determine what options you can 
    select on the INPUT SOURCE list when you press 
    INPUT.
    To turn Input Sensor on or off:
    1Press MENU. The on-screen menu opens.
    2Press 
    W or X to highlight SETUP, then press T or 
    ENTER. The SETUP menu opens.
    3Press 
    S or T to highlight Auto Input Sensing, 
    then press ENTER. A menu opens.
    4Press 
    S or T to select On (turns on the input 
    sensor) or Off (turns off the input sensor).
    5Press MENU to return to the previous menu, or 
    press EXIT to close the menu.
    Note
    You can also press SLEEP to set the sleep

    Labeling an input source
    You can add a label to an input source to make it 
    easier to identify in the INPUT SOURCE list.
    To label an input source:
    1Press MENU. The on-screen menu opens.
    2Press 
    W or X to highlight SETUP, then press T or 
    ENTER. The SETUP menu opens.
    3Press 
    S or T to highlight Input Labels, then 
    press ENTER. The SETUP · INPUT LABELS screen 
    opens with the input source field highlighted.
    4Press 
    S or T to select the input source you want 
    to label, then press X to move to the label field.
    5Press 
    S or T to select a character, then press Wor X to move to the previous or next character 
    position. Repeat this step to enter additional 
    characters. 
    6When you have completed the label, press 
    ENTER to save your label and return to the 
    previous menu. The next time you press INPUT, 
    your label appears in the INPUT SOURCE list.
    7Press EXIT to close the menu.
    Using CEC Control
    CEC Control lets you control HDMI CEC-compatible 
    devices connected to the HDMI jacks on your TV 
    using the remote control that came with your TV. To 
    use CEC Control, you must set the CEC Control 
    setting on the SETUP · CEC menu toOn. 
    Turning CEC Control on or off
    To turn CEC Control on or off:
    1Press MENU. The on-screen menu opens.
    2Press 
    W or X to highlight SETUP, then press T or 
    ENTER. The SETUP menu opens.
    3Press 
    S or T to highlight CEC, then press 
    ENTER. The SETUP · CEC menu opens.
    4Press 
    S or T to highlight CEC Control, then 
    press ENTER. 
    5Press 
    S or T to highlight On or Off, then press 
    ENTER.
    6Press MENU to return to the previous menu, or 
    press EXIT to close the menu.
    Notes
    • HDMI cables must be used to connect 
    HDMI CEC-compatible devices to your 
    TV.
    • The connected device’s HDMI CEC 
    feature must be turned on.
    • If you connect an HDMI device that is 
    not HDMI CEC-compatible, all of the 
    CEC features do not work.
    • Depending on the connected HDMI 
    device, the CEC feature may not work.

    Turning Device Auto Power Off on or off
    When CEC Control is set to On, Device Auto Power 
    Off automatically turns off HDMI CEC devices when 
    you turn off your T V.
    To turn Device Auto Power Off on or off:
    1Press MENU. The on-screen menu opens.
    2Press 
    W or X to highlight SETUP, then press T or 
    ENTER. The SETUP menu opens.
    3Press 
    S or T to highlight CEC, then press 
    ENTER. The SETUP · CEC menu opens.
    4Make sure that the CEC Control option is turned 
    on. See “Turning CEC Control on or off” on 
    page58.
    5On the SETUP · CEC menu, press 
    S or T to 
    highlight Device Auto Power Off, then press 
    ENTER.
    6Press 
    S or T to highlight On (turns off the 
    connected devices when you turn off your TV ) 
    or Off (does not turn off the connected devices 
    when you turn off your T V ), then press ENTER.
    7Press MENU to return to the previous menu, or 
    press EXIT to close the menu.
    Turning TV Auto Power On on or off
    TV Auto Power On automatically turns on your TV 
    when an HDMI CEC device is turned on, if the 
    device has this feature.
    To turn TV Auto Power On on or off:
    1Press MENU. The on-screen menu opens.
    2Press 
    W or X to highlight SETUP, then press T or 
    ENTER. The SETUP menu opens.
    3Press 
    S or T to highlight CEC, then press 
    ENTER. The SETUP · CEC menu opens.
    4Make sure that the CEC Control option is turned 
    on. See “Turning CEC Control on or off” on 
    page58.
    5On the SETUP · CEC menu, press 
    S or T to 
    highlight TV Auto Power On, then press 
    ENTER. 
    6Press 
    S or T to highlight On (turns on your T V 
    when you turn on the connected device) or Off 
    (does not turn on your TV when you turn on the 
    connected device), then press ENTER.
    7Press MENU to return to the previous menu, or

    Turning Audio Return Channel on or off
    When CEC Control is turned on and you have 
    connected an audio receiver to your TV, turning on 
    Audio Return Channel lets you use your TV’s 
    remote control to control the volume on the audio 
    receiver.
    To turn Audio Return Channel on or off:
    1Press MENU. The on-screen menu opens.
    2Press 
    W or X to highlight SETUP, then press T or 
    ENTER. The SETUP menu opens.
    3Press 
    S or T to highlight CEC, then press 
    ENTER. The SETUP · CEC menu opens.
    4Make sure that the CEC Control option is turned 
    on. See “Turning CEC Control on or off” on 
    page58.
    5On the SETUP · CEC menu, press 
    S or T to 
    highlight Audio Return Channel, then press 
    ENTER. 
    6Press 
    S or T to highlight On (your TV’s remote 
    control controls the connected audio receiver’s 
    volume) or Off (your TV’s remote control does 
    not control the connected audio receiver’s 
    volume), then press ENTER.
    7Press MENU to return to the previous menu, or 
    press EXIT to close the menu.
    Displaying a list of CEC-compatible devices
    You can display a list of HDMI CEC devices that are 
    connected to your T V.
    To display a list of CEC-compatible devices:
    1Press MENU. The on-screen menu opens.
    2Press 
    W or X to highlight SETUP, then press T or 
    ENTER. The SETUP menu opens.
    3Press 
    S or T to highlight CEC, then press 
    ENTER. The SETUP · CEC menu opens.
    4Make sure that the CEC Control option is turned 
    on. See “Turning CEC Control on or off” on 
    page58.
    5On the SETUP · CEC menu, press 
    S or T to 
    highlight CEC Device Lists, then press ENTER. A 
    list of the HDMI CEC-compatible devices you 
    have connected appears.
    6Press MENU to return to the previous menu, or

    Waking CEC-compatible devices
    When a connected CEC-compatible device is in 
    turned off (standby mode), Connect wakes (turns 
    on) the device.
    To wake CEC-compatible devices:
    1Press INPUT, press 
    S or T to highlight the 
    CEC-compatible device you want to wake, then 
    press ENTER.
    2Press MENU. The on-screen menu opens.
    3Press 
    W or X to highlight SETUP, then press T or 
    ENTER. The SETUP menu opens.
    4Press 
    S or T to highlight CEC, then press 
    ENTER. The SETUP · CEC menu opens.
    5Make sure that the CEC Control option is turned 
    on. See “Turning CEC Control on or off” on 
    page58.
    6On the SETUP · CEC menu, press 
    S or T to 
    highlight Connect, then press ENTER to wake 
    the HDMI CEC-compatible device connected to 
    the HDMI input you selected.
    7Press MENU to return to the previous menu, or 
    press EXIT to close the menu.
    Opening a CEC-compatible device’s root 
    menu
    You can open a CEC-compatible device’s root menu, 
    then use your T V’s remote control to control the 
    device, if the device has this feature.
    To open a CEC-compatible device’s root menu:
    1Press INPUT, press 
    S or T to highlight the 
    CEC-compatible device you want to control, 
    then press ENTER.
    2Press MENU. The on-screen menu opens.
    3Press 
    W or X to highlight SETUP, then press T or 
    ENTER. The SETUP menu opens.
    4Press 
    S or T to highlight CEC, then press 
    ENTER. The SETUP · CEC menu opens.
    5Make sure that the CEC Control option is turned 
    on. See “Turning CEC Control on or off” on 
    page58.
    6On the SETUP · CEC menu, press 
    S or T to 
    highlight Root Menu, then press ENTER. The 
    device’s root menu opens, and you can use your 
    TV’s remote control to control the device.
    7Press MENU to return to the previous menu, or

    Using an MHL-enabled 
    device or Roku Streaming 
    Stick
    You can connect your MHL-enabled device, such as 
    a cell phone or Roku Streaming Stick™, and view 
    your device’s screen on your TV.
    Using an MHL-enabled device
    To use an MHL-enabled device:
    1Connect an MHL-enabled device to your TV. For 
    connection instructions, see “Connecting an 
    MHL-enabled device” on page22. A message 
    tells you the device is connected.
    2Press ENTER to access your MHL-enabled 
    device. Your device’s menu opens.
    3Use 
    S T W X and ENTER to navigate on your 
    device. To switch to an MHL-device that is already 
    connected:
    1Press INPUT, then press 
    S or T to select 
    HDMI 2 (MHL/ACC).
    OR
    Press MENU, then press 
    W or X to highlight 
    MHL/ACC.
    2Press ENTER to access your MHL-enabled 
    device. Your device’s menu opens. 
    3Use 
    S T W X and ENTER to navigate on your 
    device.

    Using a Roku Streaming Stick
    To use a Roku Streaming Stick:
    1Connect a Roku Streaming Stick™ to your TV. For 
    connection instructions, see “Connecting an 
    MHL-enabled device” on page22. A message 
    tells you the stick is connected.
    2Press ENTER to access your Roku Streaming 
    Stick™. Your stick’s menu opens.
    3Use 
    S T W X and ENTER to navigate on your 
    Roku Streaming Stick™.To switch to a Roku Streaming Stick that is 
    already connected:
    1Press INPUT, then press 
    S or T to select 
    HDMI 2 (Roku).
    OR
    Press MENU, then press 
    W or X to highlight 
    Streaming.
    2Press ENTER to access your Roku Streaming 
    Stick™. Your stick’s menu opens. 
    3Use 
    S T W X and ENTER to navigate on your 
    Roku Streaming Stick™.

    Using a USB flash drive
    You can connect a USB flash drive to your TV to 
    view compatible JPEG pictures.
    Switching to USB mode
    To switch to USB mode:
    1Make sure that you have connected the USB 
    flash drive to the USB port on your TV.
    2If your TV is turned on when you connect the 
    USB flash drive, press 
    S or T to highlight Ye s in 
    the message that appears, then press ENTER. 
    The PHOTOS menu opens.
    OR 
    If you connected the USB flash drive, then 
    changed to a different video input source, press 
    INPUT to open the INPUT SOURCE list, press 
    S or T to highlight USB (Photos), then press ENTER. 
    The PHOTOS menu opens.
    Browsing photos
    To browse photos:
    1Switch to USB mode. See “Switching to USB 
    mode” on page64. The PHOTOS menu opens.2Press 
    S or T to highlight Browse Photos, then 
    press ENTER. The screen displays folder names 
    and photo files stored on the USB flash drive in a 
    thumbnail index with the first photo or folder 
    highlighted. A control bar appears at the 
    bottom of the screen.
    3To navigate the thumbnail index screen, press:
    •
    S T W or X to browse through the files and 
    folders.
    •ENTER to view a highlighted photo full-screen 
    or open a highlighted folder.
    •MENU to open the PHOTOS menu.
    •FAV O R I T E to add or remove a photo from the 
    favorite photo list. A heart appears on a photo 
    that has been added to the favorite photo list.
    When a photo is displayed full-screen, a control 
    bar appears at the bottom of the photo. The file 
    name, picture resolution, size, and date are 
    displayed on the bottom of the control bar. If 
    you do not press a button within 10 seconds, 
    the control bar closes. Press INFO* to open the 
    control bar again. 
    4To navigate on the photo screen, press:
    •
    W to go to the previous photo.
    •
    X to go to the next photo.
    •ENTER to rotate the photo clockwise.
    •VIEW MODE one or more times to enlarge the 
    image by ×2 or ×4 or to select Fill (to fill the 
    screen). You can press 
    S T W or X to pan the 
    photo.
    •EXIT to return to the thumbnail index.
    •MENU to return to the PHOTOS menu.
    Notes
    • Never remove the USB flash drive or 
    turn off your TV while viewing JPEG 
    pictures.
    • The JPEG picture viewer only supports 
    JPEG format images (with “.jpg” file 
    extensions) and not all JPEG files are 
    compatible with your TV.
    Note
    To exit USB mode, press INPUT to open 
    the INPUT SOURCE list, then select another 
    input source.

    Photos are shown in the order they appear 
    on the USB flash drive. They may not be

    Viewing favorite photos
    After you create your favorite photo list, you can 
    browse among your favorite photos quickly.
    To view favorite photos:
    1Switch to USB mode. See “Switching to USB 
    mode” on page64. The PHOTOS menu opens.
    2Press 
    S or T to highlight Favorite Photos, then 
    press ENTER. A thumbnail index of your favorite 
    photos opens with a control bar at the bottom 
    of the screen. A heart appears on a favorite 
    photo.
    You select photos and navigate on the photo 
    screen in the same way you do when you are 
    browsing through photos. For more 
    information, see “Browsing photos” on page64.
    Viewing photos in a slideshow
    You can view your photos in a slideshow.
    To view photos in a slideshow:
    1Switch to USB mode. See “Switching to USB 
    mode” on page64. The PHOTOS menu opens.
    2If the photos you want to view are in a folder on 
    the USB flash drive, select the folder. For 
    information about selecting a folder, see 
    “Browsing photos” on page64 or “Viewing 
    favorite photos” on page65.
    3Press MENU. The PHOTOS menu opens again.
    4Press 
    S or T to highlight View Slideshow, then 
    press ENTER. A slideshow starts with the first 
    photo in the current folder.
    5To control the slideshow, press:
    •ENTER to pause or start the slideshow.
    •EXIT to exit the slideshow and go to the 
    PHOTOS menu.
    •MENU to go to the PHOTOS menu.Note
    Photos are shown in the order they appear 
    on the USB flash drive. They may not be

    Customizing slideshow settings
    You can customize the slideshow settings, 
    including Slideshow Repeat, Slideshow Shuffle, 
    Slideshow Interval, and Slideshow Effect.
    To customize slideshow settings:
    1Switch to USB mode. See “Switching to USB 
    mode” on page64. The PHOTOS menu opens.
    2Press 
    S or T to highlight Photo Settings, then 
    press ENTER. The PHOTOS · PHOTOS SETTINGS 
    menu opens.
    3Press 
    S or T to highlight an option, then press 
    ENTER. You can select:
    •Slideshow Repeat—Repeats the slideshow 
    when it reaches the end. You can select On or 
    Off.
    •Slideshow Shuffle—Displays the slideshow 
    photos in random order. You can select On or 
    Off.
    •Slideshow Interval—Sets the amount of time 
    a photo is displayed before the slideshow 
    moves to the next photo. You can select 4sec, 
    6sec, or 8sec. 
    •Slideshow Effect—Selects the way photos 
    transition when moving to the next file in the 
    slideshow. You can select:
    •None—No transition effect.
    •Fad e to Blac k—Fades the screen to black 
    between photos.
    •Ver tic al Wip e—Wipes the screen from top 
    to bottom between photos.
    •Horizontal Wipe—Wipes the screen from 
    left to right between photos.
    •Random—Randomly selects a transition 
    effect.
    4Press 
    S or T to select a setting, then press 
    ENTER.
    5Press EXIT to close the menu.
    Maintaining
    • Do not use your TV in areas that are too hot or too 
    cold, because the cabinet may warp or the screen 
    may malfunction. Your TV works best in 
    temperatures that are comfortable to you.
    • Storage temperatures are 32° to 122°F (0° to 50°C).
    • Working temperatures are 41° to 104°F 
    (5° to 40°C).
    • Do not place your TV in direct sunlight or near a 
    heat source.
    Cleaning the TV cabinet
    Clean the cabinet with a soft, lint-free cloth. If the 
    cabinet is especially dirty, moisten a soft, lint-free 
    cloth in a weak detergent solution, squeeze the 
    excess moisture from the cloth, then wipe the 
    cabinet with the cloth. Use a clean cloth to dry the 
    cabinet.
    Cleaning the TV screen
    Clean the screen with a soft, lint-free cloth.
