104105 Motion Control Screen Layout Motion Control Layout on the TV Screen Activating Motion Control while watching the TV activates the following screen icons. 108 Using Face Recognition Users can register their faces using the TV camera, and sign in to their Samsung accounts using the Face Recognition function. Only one face can be registered per account. Depending on the ambient illumination level and/or shadows over a face, the TV may have difficulty recognizing it. To use the Face Recognition feature, you need to install a sold-separately camera on the TV. Make sure that the TV is connected to the Internet when installing the camera so that it can download the software required for Face Recognition. " Please read through the instructions before using Face Recognition. For more information, refer to " Read Before Using Voice, Motion, or Face Recognition ". [When connecting the TV camera to 2014 Samsung TV models, make sure to connect it to the specified USB port of the TV. Other USB ports do not support the TV camera or Face Recognition. Registering Your Face to Your Samsung Account To register your face to your Samsung Account, follow the steps below. To create a Samsung Account if you do not already have one, refer to " Creating a Samsung Account". 11 Sign in to your Samsung Account (Smart Hub > Samsung Account > Sign In). 21 Navigate to Smart Hub > Samsung Account > Edit Profile. The On-Screen Keyboard appears. 31 Enter your account password. When finished, select Done. 41 On the Edit Profile screen, select Register Face. 51 On the Face Registration screen, align your face within the red circle. For the LED 7100 series, to get information about a show, press the KEYPAD button, and then select INFO on the On-Screen Remote. " To view the program info, you must first set the TV's clock. Go to Clock (System > Time > Clock). "The program information may vary depending on the type of incoming signal and may not be available at all for certain programs. Select the current program in the Program Info window to instantly record the program. Use the ¡ and £ buttons to view information about upcoming programs. Changing the broadcast signal MENU > Broadcasting > Antenna Try Now You can choose the appropriate DTV mode for your viewing environment. Choose Air or Cable. Air is suitable for homes equipped with a separate, over-the-air antenna. Cable is suitable for homes that have subscribed to a local cable-service or satellite-service provider. " Do not use this function if your TV is connected to a cable or satellite box. Digital Channel Signal Info and Strength MENU > Support > Self Diagnosis > Signal Information Try Now Select Support > Self Diagnosis > Signal Information . This displays the digital channel's signal information and strength. " If your TV is attached to a separate, over-the-air antenna, you can use the signal strength information to adjust the antenna for increased signal strength and improved HD channel reception. 112113 Recording Programs This function is not available in the U.S.A. and Canada. You can record current and upcoming programs using a USB device instead of a video recorder. However, this is only available for digital channels. The icon appears next to programs and channels for which a Schedule Recording has been set. " We recommend a USB hard disk drive with a minimum speed of 5,400rpm for TV recording. USB memory sticks are not supported. "Read all precautions before using the recording feature. Formatting a USB Recording Device To record programs on a USB device connected to the TV, the device must first be formatted for the TV. Use the Format Device option to prepare the USB device. " Formatting a USB device erases all data contained on the device. Back up data you want to retain before proceeding. Samsung will not be held responsible for damaged or lost files. 11 Press the button to open the First Screen, and select the Panel icon. The following options are available on the Manage Device screen: ●Format Device Formats the USB device for TV recordings. ●Check Device Check the malfunctions of USB device. If the USB have a problem, try to recover. ●Device Performance Test Tests the performance of the USB device. This test tells you whether the USB device can be used for TV recordings. ●Default Recording Device If there are multiple USB recording devices connected to the TV, use this option to specify the default device.
