    "Usability depends on your specific model and local region.
    The Multimedia Panel lets you play media content saved on USB devices, smartphones, cameras, 
    computers, or in a Storage Service site on the TV.

    You cannot play media content if the content or the storage device is not supported by the TV. For more 
    information, refer to " Read Before Playing Photo, Video, or Music Files".
     
    "Backup important files before connecting a USB device. Samsung is not responsible for damaged or lost

    Playing Media Content Saved on a USB Device
    11 Select USB Drive  on the MULTIMEDIA  panel. The USB devices connected to the TV are listed.
    21 Select the device you want to connect to. The folders and files in the selected USB are listed.
    31 Select the media content you want to play from the list. The media content plays.

    Alternatively, navigate to the media content you want to play, and then press the ∂ button to play the 
    content.
    41 To exit, press the 
    ∫ button or 
    RETURN button.

    If you connect a USB device to the TV while watching the TV, the New Device Connected pop-up appears. 
    Select  All, Music , Videos, or  Photos, and then press the touch pad. On a standard remote, press the E 
    button. The folders and files on the USB device are listed.
     
    "Alternatively, if you select a USB device on the Source  screen, a pop-up window appears on the screen 
    displaying the folders and files of the USB device.
    Safely Removing a USB Device
    11 Press the SOURCE  button. The Source screen appears.
    21 Navigate to the USB device you want to remove. Press and hold the touch pad on the Samsung 
    Smart Control or the 
    E button on a standard remote. An options list window appears.
    31 Select

    Playing Multimedia Content Saved on a Computer/Mobile Device
     
    "To view a guide about Computer connections, select  Connect to a PC on the MULTIMEDIA  panel.
     
    "To view a guide about Smartphone or tablet connections, select  Connect to a Phone on the MULTIMEDIA  
    panel.
    Allowing Connections with a Computer/Mobile Device
    To play multimedia content located on a computer or mobile device on the TV, you need to:
     
    ●First, establish the connection to the computer or device.
     
    ●Then, allow the connection with the computer/mobile device on the TV.
    For information about establishing connections, see the " Connecting to a Computer" and "Connecting 
    To a Mobile Device" sections.
    To allow a connection with a computer or mobile device, follow these steps:
    11 Select  Network Device on the MULTIMEDIA panel. The devices connected to the TV are listed.
    21 Select Options , and then  Multimedia device settings . The devices connected to the TV are listed 
    with their settings.

    Alternatively, select  Multimedia Device Settings  from the Network menu to see the list of the devices 
    connected to the TV with their settings.
    31 Allow the connection with the device you want to connect to the TV. You can only play media 
    files from devices that have been allowed to connect to the TV.

    If a computer or mobile device asks that it be allowed to connect, the connection allowance confirmation 
    window appears on the TV so that you can easily connect it.
     
    "You can connect to a computer or mobile device on any DLNA DMC device, such as this TV. The DLNA 
    DMC function enables you to connect a mobile device to the TV, search for multimedia content and control

    When Connected Through DLNA Using Your Home Network
     
    "To connect a computer through DLNA using your home network, refer to the " Connecting to a Computer"

    "You may experience compatibility issues when attempting to play media files via a third-party DLNA server.
     
    "The content shared by a computer or a mobile device may not play depending on the encoding type and file 
    format of the content. In addition, some functions may not be available.
     
    "The multimedia content may not play smoothly depending on the network status. If this occurs, transfer the 
    content to a USB storage device, and then play content from the device.
    11 Select  Network Device on the MULTIMEDIA panel. The devices connected to the TV are listed.
    21 Select a device connected through DLNA using your home network, the folders and files shared 
    by the selected device are listed.
    31 Select the media content you want to play from the list. The media content plays.

    When Connected Through Samsung Link
     
    "To connect a computer through Samsung Link, refer to the " Connecting to a Computer" section.

    device are listed.
    41 Select the media content you want to play from the list. The media content plays.

    Playing Media Content Saved in a Storage Service
    Storage Services such as Dropbox and SkyDrive save user content such as photos, videos, and music 
    files on a remote server accessible through the Internet. When your TV is connected to the Internet, 
    you can view or play the media content saved in a Storage Service on the TV.

    To play the content in a Storage Service, you must log in to your Samsung account and link the Samsung 
    account to the Storage Service account. For the information about linking your Samsung account to a 
    Storage Service account, refer to the " Linking Your Samsung Account to External Service Accounts" section.
    11 Navigate to the Smart Hub > Samsung Account menu, and then select  Log In to sign in to your 
    the Samsung account.
    21 Select  Storage Service on the MULTIMEDIA  panel. The devices linked with your Samsung 
    account appear.
    31 Select a desired Storage Service. The folders and files in the selected Storage Service are listed.
    41 Select the media content you want to play from the list. The media content plays.

    Buttons and Functions Available While Viewing Photos
    The TV displays the buttons below when you press the touch pad - or the E button on a standard 
    remote - while viewing photos from a multimedia source. The playback buttons disappear if the 
    RETURN  button is pressed.
     
    ●Pause  / Play
    Start or stop the slideshow. Using slideshow, you can play all the photos in a folder one by one.
     
    ●Previous /  Next
    View the previous or the next photo.
     
    ●Settings
    The following functions are available when you select the Settings button.
    Function Description
    Slideshow Settings Speed: Set the slideshow speed.
    Effects
    : Apply transition effects for the slide show.
    Rotate Rotate the photo.
    Zoom Zoom in by up to a factor of 4.
    Picture Mode Change the Picture Mode setting.
    Background Music Listen to background music while viewing photos.
     
    "The music file must be saved in the same device as the photo file.
     
    "When background music plays, the mini player appears on the screen. Using the 
    mini player, you can pause the current music file or play another music file.
    Sound Mode Change the Sound Mode setting.
     
    "This option is supported only when background music is playing.
    Select Speakers Choose the speakers to play the background music through. Only available if you have 
    a home theater or receiver connected to the TV.
    Send This function is the same as the 'Copy' function of a computer. Using this function, 
    you can send the current photo to another storage device.

    Storage Devices for File Transfers".

    Buttons and Functions Available While Viewing Videos
    The TV displays the buttons listed below when you press the touch pad - or the 
    E button on a 
    standard remote - while viewing videos from a multimedia source. The playback buttons disappear if 
    the RETURN  button is pressed.
     
    ●Pause  / Play
    Pause or play the video.
    When the video is paused, you can use the following functions. The TV does not play audio when 
    the video is paused or when you are using the Step or Slow Motion functions described below.
     
    –Step : Whenever you press the 
    ∑ button, it scans the paused video one frame at a time.
     
    –Slow Motion : Select the 
    … button to play the video in slow playback speed (1/8, 1/4, 1/2).
     
    ●Rewind  / Fast Forward
    Rewind or fast forward the video.
     
    ●Previous /  Next
    Select the  € button twice to play the previous video. Selecting 
    € once starts the current video 
    from the beginning.
    To play the next video, select the  ‚ button.

    ●Settings
    The following functions are available when you select the Settings button.
    Function Description
    Select Scene Thumbnails: Select a scene and play the video from the scene.
     
    "Thumbnails is not available if 1) the thumbnail of the video is not extracted yet, 2) 
    the video contains audio only or 3) the video play time is shorter than 60 seconds.
    Chapter Titles : Select and play another video in the same folder.
    Time Bar: You can use the  ¡ and 
    £ buttons to scan through the file in 10-second 
    intervals or enter a specific time value to jump to that point in the video.
    Subtitle Control the subtitles of the video.
    Language
    : Turn the subtitles on or off.
    Sync: When the video and the subtitles are not synchronized, you can adjust the 
    synchronization.
    Reset Sync: Reset the subtitle synchronization adjustment to 0.
    Size: Choose the font size for the subtitles.
    Encoding: If the subtitles are not working, you can change the encoding language.
    Repeat Set the repeat mode. 
    Repeat One repeats the current video only.  Repeat All repeats all 
    videos contained in the folder.
    Rotate Rotate the video.
    Picture Size Change the picture size. The supported video sizes are determined by the video 
    content.
    Picture Mode Change the Picture Mode setting.
    Sound Mode Change the Sound Mode setting.
    Select Speakers Choose the speakers to play the audio through. Only available if you have a home 
    theater or receiver connected to the TV.
    Audio Language Choose a desired audio language. This option works only when the video supports 
    multi-track sound.
    Information View detailed information about the video.

    Buttons and Functions Available While Playing Music
    The TV displays the buttons listed below when you press the touch pad - or the 
    E button on a 
    standard remote - while playing music files from a multimedia source. The playback buttons disappear 
    if the RETURN  button is pressed.
     
    ●Pause  / Play
    Pause or resume the music.
     
    ●Rewind  / Fast Forward
    Rewind or fast forward the music file. Repeatedly select the button to make the rewind/fast 
    forward speed up to 3 times faster. To restore normal playback speed, select  ∂.
     
    ●Previous /  Next
    Select the  € button twice to play the previous music file. Selecting 
    € once starts the current 
    music file from the beginning.
    To play the next music file, select the  ‚ button.
     
    ●Repeat
    Set the repeat mode.  Repeat One repeats the current music file only. Repeat All  repeats all music 
    files contained in the folder.
     
    ●Shuffle
    Play the music files in random order.
     
    ●Select Speakers
    Choose the speakers to play the audio through. Only available if you have a home theater or 
    receiver connected to the TV.
     
    ●Sound Mode
    Change the Sound Mode setting.

    Functions on the Media Content List Screen
    On the media content list screen of a storage device, the following functions are provided.
     
    ●Filter
    Filters the media content so only one type of content - photo, video, or music - is displayed.
     
    ●Sort By
    Sorts the content list. The sort criteria change depending on the type of content you have 
    selected.

    This function is not available when  Filter is set to All .
     
    ●
    Options
    Displays viewing and playing options. The options displayed vary, depending on the type of 
    content you have selected. Not all options listed below are displayed at the same time.

    The following options are available when you select the Options button.
    Function Description
    Slide Show Start the slide show.
     
    "Available for photos only. If  Sort By is set to Folder, this function is not available.
    Play Selected Play only content you want from the media content list.
    Send This function is the same as the 'Copy' function of a computer. Using this function, 
    you can send media content to another storage device.
     
    "To see a list of the storage devices supported by this feature, refer to " Compatible 
    Storage Devices for File Transfers".
    Encoding If the media content's title will not display properly, you can change the encoding 
    language.
     
    "Available for music files only.
    Rename Playlist You can change the name of the playlist you created.

    Delete Playlist Delete a playlist that you created.

    Add to Playlist Add a file to a playlist that you created or create a new playlist.

    Index For quick access to a content item in a large list, use the Index function. Select a 
    format and then a character. The TV jumps to the section of the list that begins with 
    the character you selected.
     
    "This is not available when Sort By  is set to Folder.
     
    "You can set the Index to sort and search by date, number, or English alphabet, in 
    descending or ascending order.
