CameraandVideo63 Record Videos Use the Camera to record video. 1. Press and touch Apps > Camera. 2. Slide the Camera Mode button to . 3. Using the display as a viewfinder, compose your video by aiming the lens at the subject. You can rotate the tablet to any position, and the screen controls rotate to make video recording easy. 4. Touch Record to begin recording. While recording, you can use these options: n “Pinch” or “spread” the screen to zoom in or out. n Touch the Pause button to temporarily stop recording.

Touch Settings to configure options: l Edit shortcuts: Customize your settings shortcuts. l Location tag: When turned on, GPS location information is saved in the picture or file. l Self-portrait: Switch to the front-facing camera and take a photo of yourself (Camera mode onlyyf. l Self-recording: Switch to the front-facing camera and record a video of yourself (Video camera mode onlyyf. l Shooting mode: Choose a shooting mode (Camera mode onlyyf. l Recording mode: Choose a Recording mode (Video camera mode onlyyf. l Effects: Apply an effect to photos. l Scene mode: Choose a mode to match the kind of pictures you want to take. l Brightness: Use the slider to set the brightness value. l Timer: Set a delay time to wait between touching the Camera button and taking a photo. l Resolution: Choose a size for the photo. l White balance: Set the light source. l Metering: Select a method for measuring light. l Guidelines: Enable or disable an on-screen grid to aid in photo composition. l Contextual filename: When enabled, filenames include GPS information. GPS tag must be enabled to use contextual filenames. l Voice control: Touch to access voice control settings, for using voice commands to take pictures and record video. l Storage: Set whether to store your photos on your tablet or on your memory card, if one is installed. l Reset: Set all Camera settings to the defaults.
CameraandVideo65 Gallery Using the Gallery application, you can view pictures and watch videos that you’ve taken with your tablet’s camera, downloaded, or copied to an optional memory card (not includedyf. For pictures stored on an optional memory card, you can do basic editing such as rotating and cropping. You can also set a picture as your contact picture or wallpaper and share pictures with your friends. While viewing pictures in the Gallery, scroll up the screen to view more albums. Simply touch an album to view the photos or videos in that album. If you have pictures or videos stored on an optional memory card (not includedyf, they will be displayed in the folders they are stored in, and folders are treated as albums. The folder names will be used as the album names. If you have downloaded any photos and videos, these will be placed in the All downloads album. 1. Press and touch Apps > Gallery. 2. Browse files stored in your tablet’s memory, or on an optional installed memory card (not includedyf. From the main Gallery screen, you have these options: l Touch a picture or video to display it in full screen view. l Touch the menu in the toolbar to display files by Albums, All, Time, Locations, People, Favorites, or Spiral. l Touch to create a new album to organize photos and videos. l Touch to launch the Camera. l Touch for options (options vary depending on the viewyf: o Select album/Select item: Depending on the view, touch albums or items to select them. After selection, you can touch again for options you can use with the selected item. o Slideshow: Choose options to create a slideshow for viewing your pictures and videos. o Sort by oldest/latest: Sort items by date. o Content to display: Select which content to display. Options are All content, Content in device, Content in Dropbox, Content in Facebook, and Content in Picasa. o Scan for nearby devices: Scan for Wi-Fi devices to share photos and videos with. o Settings: Configure Gallery settings. o Help: Get help using Gallery.

Touch a thumbnail to view the photo or video. While viewing, you can use these options: l Select device: Send the photo to a nearby device (photos onlyyf. l Share via: Choose an option for sharing the photo or video. Options include Group Play, Add to Dropbox, Bluetooth, Email, Flipboard, Gmail, Google+, Hangouts, Picasa, or Wi-Fi Direct, or YouTube. l Delete: Delete the photo or video. l Camera: Launch the camera. l Trim: Remove the beginning and ending frames of a video (videos onlyyf. 3. CameraandVideo67 l Settings: Configure settings: o Accounts: Manage information for accounts synchronized with Gallery. o SNS data management: Enable Sync only via Wi-Fi to only sync photos and videos with your social networking accounts when connected to a Wi-Fi network. o Tags: Enable or disable Tag buddy and Face tag. Tag buddy identifies each photo with information such as the weather, location, people in the photo, or date created. Face tag scans each photo to detect people’s faces, which you can then tag with their name. Zoom In or Out on a Photo There are two ways you can zoom in or out of a photo. n Double-tap quickly to zoom or out. – or – n You can also use pinch and spread to zoom in or out. See Touchscreen Navigation. Rotate and Save a Photo Follow this procedure to rotate a photo from its original orientation. The rotated picture is saved along with the original in your default storage location. 1. Press and touch Apps > Gallery. 2. Touch an image to display the picture. 3. Touch > Rotate left or Rotate right. Crop a Photo Follow this procedure to change the size of a photo. The cropped picture is saved along with the original in your default storage location. 1. Press and touch Apps > Gallery. 2. Touch an image to display the picture. 3. Touch > Crop, and then use the onscreen tools: l To adjust the crop box size, touch and hold the edge of the box. When directional arrows appear, drag your finger inward to or outward to resize the crop box. l To move the crop box to the part of the photo that you want to crop, drag the crop box to the desired position. 4. Touch Done to apply the changes to the picture.
CameraandVideo68 Share Photos and Videos The Gallery application lets you send photos and videos using Gmail or email. You can share photos on your social networks (such as Facebook, Picasa, and Twitteryf and share videos on YouTube. You can also send them to another device or your computer using Bluetooth. Send Photos or Videos by Gmail or Email You can send several photos, videos, or both in an Gmail or email message. They are added as file attachments in your email. 1. Press and touch Apps > Gallery. 2. Touch the album that contains the photos or videos you want to share. 3. Touch the photos or videos you want to send. 4. Touch the screen and then touch > Gmail or Email. 5. Compose your email. For more information, see Compose and Send Email or Send a Gmail Message. Note: If you selected Email and you have multiple email accounts, the default email account will be used. Send Photos or Videos Using Bluetooth You can select several photos, videos, or both and send them to someone’s device or your computer using Bluetooth. 1. Press and touch Apps > Gallery. 2. Touch the album that contains the photos or videos you want to send. 3. Select the photos or videos you want to send. 4. Touch the screen and then touch > Bluetooth. In the next few steps, you’ll be asked to turn on Bluetooth on your tablet and connect to the receiving Bluetooth device so the files can be sent. For more information, see Bluetooth. Share Photos or Videos on Google+ 1. Press and touch Apps > Gallery. 2. Touch the album that contains the photos or videos you want to send. 3. Touch the photo or video you want to send.

Share Photos on Picasa You need to be signed in to a Google Account to upload pictures to the Picasa photo organizing service. 1. Press and touch Apps > Gallery. 2. Touch the album that contains the photos or videos you want to share. 3. Select the photos you want to share. 4. Touch the screen and then touch > Picasa. 5. Select the online album where you want to upload the pictures. 6. Touch Upload. You can view the photos online at picasaweb.google.com. Share Videos on YouTube You can share your videos by uploading them to YouTube. Before you do this, you must create a YouTube account and sign in to that account on your tablet. 1. Press and touch Apps > Gallery. 2. Touch the album that contains the videos you want to share. 3. Select the video you want to share. 4. Touch the screen and then touch > YouTube. 5. Follow the onscreen instructions to enter information about the video and complete the upload. Video The Video app plays video files stored on your tablet, or on an optional installed memory card (not includedyf. n Press and touch Apps > Video.

Touch and hold an alarm, and then touch Delete. Calculator Your tablet comes with a built-in calculator. Calendar Use Calendar to create and manage events, meetings, and appointments. Your Calendar helps organize your time and reminds you of important events. Depending on your synchronization

Add an Event to the Calendar Add events to your Calendar to help you organize your time and remind you of important events. Note: To synchronize calendar events among your Google and Corporate accounts, make sure they are being managed by your tablet. See Accounts and Messaging for more information. 1. Press and touch Apps > Calendar. 2. Touch and hold a day on the calendar to add an event. 3. Touch Tap to enter title and enter a title for the event. 4. Touch the My Calendar field to assign the new event to an account, or save it to the tablet. 5. Touch Save to save the event now, or touch Edit event details to enter more information: l From/To: Select a time for the event by touching the corresponding fields and adjusting the month, day, and year. o If the event lasts all day, touch the All day check box. l View in Calendar: View the event in your calendar. l Repeat: Select a recurrence schedule for the event. l Reminder: Select an alarm time. l Location: Enter a location for the event, or touch to select the location on a map. l Description: Enter a description for the event. l Images: Add an image from the Gallery or take a new picture. 6. Touch Save to save the new event. Add a Task to the Calendar Add tasks to your Calendar to help you organize your time and remind you of important activities. Note: To synchronize calendar tasks among your Google and other accounts, make sure they are being managed by your tablet. See Accounts and Messaging for more information. 1. Press and touch Apps > Calendar. 2. Double-tap a day on the calendar, and then touch Add task. 3. Touch Tap to enter title and enter a name for the task.

Touch Save to save the task now, or touch Edit task details to enter more information: l Due Date: Select a due date for the task by touching the corresponding fields and adjusting the month, day, and year, or touch No due date if the task is open-ended. l Reminder: Select an alarm time. l Priority: Set the task’s priority to High, Medium, or Low. l Description: Enter a description for the task. l Images: Add an image from the Gallery or take a new picture. 6. Touch Save to save the new task. View Events The following procedure helps you view your calendar events. 1. Press and touch Apps > Calendar. 2. To display an event’s details, touch it from the current screen. Delete Events The following procedures show you how to delete your calendar events. 1. Press and touch Apps > Calendar. 2.
