A\fte\f\fas with 300-ohm Flat Twi\f Leads If you are using an off\bair antenna (such as a roof antenna or “rabbit ears”) that has 300\bohm twin flat leads, follow the directions below. Cable without a Cable Box 1 Plug the in\foming \f\bble into the ANT 1 IN (CABLE) termin\bl on the b\b\fk of the TV. Because this TV is cable\bready, you do not need a cable box to view unscrambled cable channels. 2 Plug the \fombiner into the ANT 2 IN (AIR) termin\bl on the bottom of the re\br p\bnel. A\fte\f\fas with 75-ohm Rou\fd Leads 1 Plug the \bntenn\b le\bd into the ANT 2 IN (AIR) termin\bl on the b\b\fk of the TV. Sepa\bate VHF a\fd UHF A\fte\f\fas If you have two separate antennas for your TV (one VHF and one UHF), you must combine the two antenna signals before connecting the antennas to the TV. Co\f\fecti\fg to a Cable Box that Desc\bambles Some Cha\f\fels If your cable box descrambles only some channels (such as premium channels), follow the instructions below. You will need a two\bway splitter, an RF (A/B) switch, and four lengths of RF cable. (These items are available at most electronics stores.) 1 Find \bnd dis\fonne\ft the \f\bble th\bt is \fonne\fted to the ANT IN termin\bl on your \f\bble box. This terminal might be labeled “ANT IN”, “VHF IN” or simply, “IN”. 2 Conne\ft this \f\bble to \b two-w\by splitter. 3 Conne\ft \bn RF \f\bble between \bn OUTPUT termin\bl on the splitter \bnd the IN termin\bl on the \f\bble box. After you have made this connection, set the A/B switch to the “A” position for normal viewing. Set the A/B switch to the “B” position to view scrambled channels. (When you set the A/B switch to “B”, you will need to tune your TV to the cable box’s output channel, which is usually channel 3 or 4.)
