75 –Copy/Paste: Select a portion of one picture (the Foreground) to paste on another picture (the Background). Highlight Foreground or Background, then press the Left Soft Key (Set) and follow the prompts. –Resize: Change the resolution of the picture. –Rotate/Flip: Rotate the selected picture in incremental steps or flip the picture horizontally or vertically. : Change the name of the picture. : Move the picture to the phone or optional memory card. : Lock the picture to protect it from erasure, or Unlock. : Display the picture full-screen. : Set a duration, then play a slide show of all pictures in My Pictures. : View details about the picture. Recording Videos Record videos with your phone’s built-in Camcorder. Important! Do not take videos of people without their permission. Do not take videos in places where cameras are not allowed. Do not take videos in places or in a manner where you may interfere with another person’s privacy. 1.With the flip open, press and hold the Camera/ Camcorder Key. – or – From the Home screen, press Center Select Key (MENU) ➔ Media Center ➔ Picture & Video ➔ Record Video. Tip: You can also launch Camera with the phone closed. Press MENU, then press the Volume Key DOWN to highlight Record Video and press OK. 2.Set Options, if desired. Use the soft keys to control recording: Press the Right Soft Key (Mute/Unmute) to control audio recording. Press the Center Select Key (STOP) to stop recording. Press the Left Soft Key (Pause/Resume) to temporarily halt recording, then start again. 5.After recording a video, use the soft keys for options: Press the Right Soft Key (Erase) to delete the new photo. Press Center Select Key (PLAY) to view the video. For information about playing videos, see “My Videos” on page 78. Press the Left Soft Key (Save) to save the video to My Videos. Video Options Use Video Options to customize your videos. Tip: While setting Options, press the Right Soft Key (Help) for information about an option. 1.From the Home screen, press MENU ➔ Media Center ➔ Picture & Video ➔ Record Video. 2.Use the number keys for Settings shortcuts. For example: Press 1 to select Camera or Camcorder mode. Press 2 to select Send or Save mode. Press 3 to set a Timer for a delay between pressing RECORD and the start of a recording. Effects: Choose an effect to add to videos, from None, Black & White, Antique, or Negative. : Choose a time delay before recording, from Off (no delay), 2 Seconds, 5 Seconds, or 10 Seconds. Viewfinder Mode: Choose to display either Icons, No Icons, or Gridlines on the viewfinder. Settings: Choose detailed Video and Setup options. Camcorder Settings 1.From the Home screen, press MENU ➔ Media Center ➔ Picture & Video ➔ Record Video. 2.Press the Right Soft Key (Options), then use the Directional Key to highlight Settings and press OK. 3.Configure these detailed settings: Video Quality: Set image quality, from Normal, Fine or Superfine. : Set the preview mode for viewing videos after recording. : Turn On to have a sound play when you start recording. Audio Recording: Turn On to record audio along with your videos. : Turn On to have Camcorder automatically name your videos when you save them. : Set the default save location, Phone or Card memory. : View shortcuts for using keypad keys to quickly access Camcorder settings when recording video.

Press the Clear Key to return to thumbnails. 3.While viewing thumbnails, press the Right Soft Key (Options) for these options: –Send: Attach the video to a new Video Message, post to your Online album, or to Blogs. –Record Video: Launch the Camcorder to capture new video. –Set As Wallpaper: Set the video as an animated wallpaper on the Home screen. –Manage Videos: Erase videos, Lock (and Unlock) videos to prevent erasure, and move videos to the phone or optional memory card. –Rename: Change the name of the highlighted video. –File Info: Display information about the video. 4.To view a video, highlight a thumbnail and press the Center Select Key (PLAY). While viewing the video, use these options: Use the Directional Key to control playback: –Press UP to switch to Full-screen playback. –Press RIGHT to move to the next video, or press and hold to scan forward though the current video. –Press DOWN to stop playback. –Press LEFT to move to the previous video, or press and hold to scan backward through the current video. Press the Left Soft Key (Mute/Unmute) to control audio playback. Press the Right Soft Key (Options) for options: –My Videos: Return to My Videos. –File Info: Display information about the video. –Help: View information about using the Directional Key with playback.

81 Section 10: Music This section describes how to use the music features of your phone to play, download, and manage your music files. Manage and Transfer Media Your phone is compatible with Media Manager. The desktop application, offered free by Verizon Wireless, allows you to transfer photos, music and videos between your phone and computer. Once the desktop application is installed, simply connect your phone and computer with a USB cable, and Media Manager makes it easier than ever to transfer, play and manage you media. The application also includes a media player and an array of intuitive features to help you manage and enjoy your media. To get started, visit verizonwireless.com/vmm. My Music Play music that you transfer from your PC, or from an optional installed memory card. You can play music with the phone open or closed. 1.From the Home screen, press MENU ➔ Media Center ➔ Music & Tones ➔ My Music. 2.At the My Music screen, you have these options: All Songs: Play all songs stored on your phone and installed memory card. : Display all songs stored on your phone and memory card, to choose songs to play and manage your music. Playlists: Display and manage playlists. Highlight a playlist, then press the Left Soft Key (View) to display it, or press the Center Select Key (PLAY) to play it. Press the Right Soft Key (Options) to create a new playlist, erase or rename the highlighted playlist, or change the input language.

Manage My Music: Erase songs, lock or unlock songs, or move music between your phone’s memory and an optional installed memory card. Music Settings: –Repeat: Choose a playback mode, from Repeat All, Repeat All, Repeat One, or Off. –Shuffle: Choose On to play songs in random order, or Off to play them in the order they appear. –Music Only Mode: When On, all wireless communications, including calls, are disabled, and the phone acts as a music player only. Playing Music 1.From the Home screen, press MENU ➔ Media Center ➔ Music & Tones ➔ My Music. 2.Select an option, then press Center Select Key (PLAY) to play the selection. 3.Use the Center Select Key and Directional Key to control playback: Press the Center Select Key to Pause playback. Press the Center Select Key again to Play. Press the Directional Key LEFT for Rewind, to go to the previous song, or press and hold to scan backward through the song. Press the Directional Key RIGHT for Forward, to go to the next song, or press and hold to scan forward through the song. Press the Directional Key UP to choose playback modes, from Shuffle, Repeat One, or Repeat All. Press the Directional Key DOWN to Stop playback. 4.During playback, press the Left Soft Key (Mute) to mute the playback.

(Only available when the Bluetooth headset is connected to the phone.) : Stop playback and close My Music. Add to Playlist: Add the current song to a playlist. Sound Effect: Choose an effect to add to the music. : Choose a theme for the music player. : View details about the current song. : View the amount of memory available, used and total for the Phone and Card memory. Music Settings: Choose Repeat mode, Shuffle mode, or Music Only mode. In Music Only mode, access to the wireless networks is disabled and you cannot send or receive calls or messages. Creating a Playlist 1.From the Home screen, press MENU ➔ Media Center ➔ Music & Tones ➔ My Music ➔ Playlists. 2.Press the Left Soft Key (New) to create the first playlist. – or – Press the Right Soft Key (Options) ➔ (Create New) to create additional lists. 3.Enter a name for the playlist, then press OK. Adding Songs to a Playlist 1.From the Home screen, press MENU ➔ Media Center ➔ Music & Tones ➔ My Music ➔ Playlists. 2.Press the Left Soft Key (Add) to open the playlist, then highlight songs and press MARK to select them. 3.Press the Left Soft Key (Done). Note: To add songs to playlists while playing music, press Options ➔ Add To Playlist, then select a playlist.
