22LSQT1319 Before using 3 About discs ∫Disc type ∫About DVD-R DL (Dual Layer) disc DVD-R DL (Dual Layer) discs have two layers of recording/playback surface on one side. If the first layer (L0) becomes full during recording, the recording continues uninterrupted on the second layer (L1). However, the recording is divided into 2 scenes at the point where the layers switch. This unit automatically switches layers during disc playback so you can play the whole of the disc continuously like a normal disc. However, the picture or the sound momentarily stops at the point where the layers switch. ∫Examples of discs that cannot be used on this unit Disc typeDVD-RAM 8cm (3z) Single sided/ double sidedDVD-RW 8 cm (3z) Single sided/double sidedDVD-R 8 cm (3z) Single sided/ double sidedDVD-R DL 8cm (3z) Dual layer on single side Recording formatVR format VR format Video format Video format Video format Display on the screen Indication in these instructions(RAM) (-RW‹VR›) (-RW‹V›) (-R) (-R]DL) About format types What is the VR format (DVD Video Recording format)?
