Formula to calculate projection distance per Projection Lens
To use a screen size not listed in this manual, check the screen size SD (m) and use the respective formula to calculate projection distance.
The unit of all the formulae is m. (Values obtained by the following calculation formulae contain a slight er\
    ror.)
If you want to calculate the projection distance with projected image size SD (unit: inch) by substituting, please assign 0.0254 times to the SD value.

    Adjusting adjustable feet
Install the projector on a flat surface so that the front of the projector is parallel to the screen surface and the projected image is rectangular .
If the screen is tilted downward, the projected image can be adjusted to be rectangular by adjusting the front adjustable feet. The adjustable feet can also be used to adjust the projector to be level when it is til\
    ted in the horizontal direction.
Extend the adjustable feet by rotating in the direction shown in the figure and retract by rotating in the opposite direction.
    Adjustable amount
Front adjustable feet: Approx. 25 mm (31/32)
    Attention
fHeated air is expelled from the air exhaust port while the lamp is lit. Do not touch the air exhaust port directly when adjusting the adjustable feet. (x page 24)

    Removing/attaching the Projection Lens
Removing and attaching procedures of the Projection Lens are same for bo\
th standard zoom lens and optional lens.
Move the lens to the home position before replacing or removing the Projection Lens. (x page 50)
    Attention
fReplace the Projection Lens after turning off the power of the projector. fDo not touch the electrical contact of the Projection Lens. Dust or dirt may cause defective contact. fDo not touch the surface of the Projection Lens with your bare hands. fBefore attaching the Projection Lens, remove the lens hole cover (only \
lens options models) and lens cover attached to the Projection Lens.

    Attention
fTurn the Projection Lens counterclockwise to confirm that it does not come out.

Chapter 2 Getting Started — Connecting
    ENGLISH - 39
    Connecting
    Before connecting
fBefore connecting, carefully read the operating instructions for the external device to be connected.
fTurn off the power of all devices before connecting cables.
fTake note of the following points before connecting the cables. Failure to do so may result in malfunctions.
gWhen connecting a cable to a device connected to the projector or the pr\
ojector itself, touch any nearby metallic objects to eliminate static electricity from your body before performing work.
gDo not use unnecessarily long cables to connect to a device connected to the projector or to the projector body. The longer the cable, the more it is susceptible to noise. Since using a cable while it is wound makes it act like an antenna, it is more susceptible to noise.
gWhen connecting cables, connect GND first, then insert the connecting terminal of the connecting device in a straight manner .
fAcquire any connection cable necessary to connect the external device to the system that is neither supplied with the device nor available as an option.
fIf video signals from video equipment contain too much jitter, the images on the screen may wobble. In this case, a time base corrector (TBC) must be connected.
fThe projector accepts video signals, Y/C signals, YCBCR/YPBPR signals, analog RGB signals (synchronization signals are TTL level), and digital signals.
fSome computer models or graphics cards are not compatible with the projector.
fUse a cable compensator when you connect devices to the projector using long cables. Otherwise the image may not display properly .
fRefer to “List of compatible signals” (x page 146) for the types of video signals that can be used with the projector.
