Using the Playback Zoom
1Rotate the front dial towards the 
right to enlarge the picture.
 When you rotate the front dial towards the 
left after the picture is enlarged, the 
magnification becomes lower. When you 
rotate the front dial towards the right, the

Deleting Pictures
∫To delete a single picture
1Select the picture to be deleted.
2: Play back the previous picture.
1: Play back the next picture.
2Delete the picture.
 While deleting the picture, [ ] appears 
on the screen.

When 4 is pressed again, the setting is

Using the Mode Dial
When you want the background to be in 
sharp focus, set the aperture value to a 
higher number. The higher the aperture 
value is the smaller the aperture opening 
will be. For a soft focus background, set the 
aperture value to a lower number which 
corresponds to a larger aperture opening.

When you want to take a sharp picture of a 
fast moving subject, set with a faster 
shutter speed. When you want to create a 
trail effect, set to a slower shutter speed.

pictures with audio.
1Select [PICT.MODE].
 Close the menu by pressing the shutter 
button halfway or the [MENU] button 
after finishing the setting.
 You can record smoother motion 
pictures with [30fpsVGA] and 
[30fpsQVGA].
 You can record motion pictures for 
longer periods with [10fpsVGA] and 
[10fpsQVGA] although the picture 
quality is lower.
 Since the file size of [10fpsQVGA] is 
small, it is suitable for e-mails.
