Battery replacement
If battery performance diminishes, make 
sure you have cleaned the charge 
contacts and fully charged the battery. The 
battery needs to be replaced if any of the 
following are displayed after a few phone 
calls even when you have fully charged the 
battery.

function displayed directly above it.

Using the handset
1Lift the handset and press {C}.

PAUSE button (for PBX/long distance 
service users)
Using the handset
A pause is sometimes required when 
making calls using a PBX or long distance 
service.
For example, if you need to dial the line 
access number “9” when making outside 
calls with a PBX:
1Press {9}.
2Press {Pause}, then dial the phone 
number.
3Press {C} or {s}.
Note:
LA 3.5 second pause is inserted each 
time {Pause} or {P} is pressed....

To put a call on hold
1Press {HOLD/INTERCOM} during a 
conversation.
L“Line on hold.” is displayed.
2Press {HOLD/INTERCOM} again.
L“Hold” is displayed.
LYou can search the caller list or 
phonebook while a call is on hold. To 
exit the list, press {OFF}. The call will 
remain on hold.
To return to the call, press {C} or {s}.
Note:
LThe base unit user can also take the call 
by pressing {SP-PHONE}.

Answering calls
When a call is received, the unit rings, 
“Incoming call” is displayed, and the 
Ringer/Message Alert indicator on the 
handset and “BC” on the base 
unit flash rapidly. If you subscribe to Caller 
ID, see page 27.
Using the handset
