KX-TG2382B/KX-TG2382PW includes two handsets and one base unit. You can 
expand the system by adding up to one additional handset. A maximum of 3\
handsets can be registered to the base unit. The included handsets are pre-
registered at the factory and assigned the extension numbers 1 and 2.

Battery charge
A rechargeable Ni-MH battery powers 
the handset. Charge the battery for
about 15 hours before initial use (p. 10).

Calls are transmitted between the base unit and the handset using

Installing the Battery in the Handset
Insert the battery into the handset as shown, matching the correct polar\
ity 
(# ). Press the battery down until it fits securely into the compartment\
 ( $). 
When finished, close the cover.
