Muting Your Conversation

For Call Waiting Service Users
Press (FLASH/CALL!WAIT/VOICE!MAIL)if you hear a call-waiting tone
while talking.
•The first call is put on hold and you can answer the second call.
•To return to the first caller, press (FLASH/CALL!WAIT/VOICE!MAIL)again.
•The call waiting service cannot be used when:
—the first call on the same line is placed on hold, —a parallel connected telephone is in use, or—you are having a conference call on both lines (p. 49).

Selecting the flash time
The flash time depends on your telephone exchange or host PBX. 
You can select the following flash times: “700, 600, 400, 300, 250, 110,
100 or 90 ms (milliseconds)”. Your phone comes from the factory set to
“700 ms”. 
Make sure the unit is not being used and the handset is lifted off the
base unit.

Line Selection
The unit will automatically select a free line which is not being used by a
parallel connected telephone when you make a call by pressing  or
. The unit will also select the in-coming called line when you answer
the in-coming call. You can change the line selection. 
There are three options as following:
Line 1:Line 1 will be selected.
Line 2:Line 2 will be selected.
Auto :A free line will be selected when making a call. Line 1 has priority.
But when you call back using Caller ID...

Incoming Call Tone 
While one line is being used, you can be informed if another call arrives
on the other line by two tones. This incoming call tone can be set/deleted
by programming. 
On: 
The incoming call tone will be heard for as long as the other line rings.
2: The incoming call tone will only be heard 2 times. 
Off: The incoming call tone will not be heard. 
Your phone comes from the factory set to “2”.
Make sure the unit is not being used and the handset is lifted off the
base unit.

Wall Mounting
This unit can be mounted on a wall phone plate.
