    alert
    M B NM4NM 3NM 7NTo alert you with a beeping sound when a received fax document is stored into
    memory.
    M 0 N “ OFF ”: Deactivates this feature.
    M 1 N “ ON ” (default): You will hear a beeping sound.
    Note:
    R If documents are stored into memory due to some printing problem, the
    beeps will continue until you solve the problem. If a message is displayed,
    see page 74 to page 76 for directions on printing out the stored
    documents. Make sure the unit is supplied with enough paper to print the
    stored document.
    R If documents are stored into memory due to activating the web fax preview
    (feature #448 on page  50), the unit will not beep. However, the unit will start
    to beep when the memory is nearly full.Setting friendly reception
    M B NM4NM 3NM 8NTo receive a fax automatically when you answer a call and hear a fax calling
    tone (slow beep).

    							Feature/CodeSelectionReceiving a fax into the
    computer
    M B NM4NM 4NM 2NIf you wish to receive a fax into a computer, activate this feature and run  [PC
    FAX]  from Multi-Function Station.
    This feature is available when the fax preview mode is turned OFF (feature #448
    on page 50).
    M 0 N “ OFF ” (default): Deactivates this feature.
    M 1 N “ ALWAYS ”: If the unit recognizes the connection to the computer, it will
    transfer received documents to the computer. If the unit cannot recognize the
    connection, it will store received documents into memory, and then transfer the
    data after recognition of the computer connection.
    M 2 N “ CONNECTED ”: If the unit recognizes the connection to the computer, it will
    transfer received documents to the computer. If the unit cannot recognize the
    connection, it will print the data.Setting the computer for PC

    Push Scan

    [Multi-Function Viewer]  window.
    M 2 N “ FILE ”: The scanned image will be saved as a file.
    M 3 N “ EMAIL ”: The scanned image will be saved for email attachment.
    M 4 N “ OCR ”: The scanned image will be displayed in the OCR window.
    M 5 N “ EMAIL ADDRESS ”: The scanned image will be sent as an attachment
    without using email software.
    M 6 N “ FTP SERVER ”: The scanned image will be sent to the pre-programmed
    folder on the FTP server.
    M 7 N “ SMB FOLDER ”: The scanned image will be sent to the pre-programmed
    SMB folder.
    Note:
    R Following selections will be displayed only when the server setting is
    programmed through the web browser interface in advance.
    – “EMAIL ADDRESS ” will be displayed when the email server setting is
    programmed (page 65).
    – “FTP SERVER ” will be displayed when the FTP server setting is
    programmed (page 66).
    – “SMB FOLDER ” will be displayed when the SMB folder setting is

    can register email destinations (up to 30 destinations) for the unit through the
    web browser interface in advance.

    3. Type  “root”  as the user name, then enter the password (feature #155 on
    page 56).  A [OK]
    4. Select the  [SCAN FEATURE]  tab.
    5. Click  [Edit]  next to  [SEND USER] .
    6. Click  [Edit]  next to the desired scan to email user.
    7. Enter the name and email address.
    R Select the station key number from the drop-down list if necessary
    (KX-MB2030 only).

    IP patterns. You can program whether to deny or approve IP addresses. Up to
    4 patterns each for IPv4 and IPv6 can be programmed through the web browser
    interface.
