67 Controls and settings fr\pom web screen(continued) JPEG image settings The image refresh in\eterval (refresh speed), i\emage capture size (resolution) and i\emage quality is set \ehere. For the settings rela\eted to H.264 images\e, refer to “H.264 image settings”. Refresh interval (JPEG)* [1fps, 2fps, 3fps, 5fps, 6fps, 10fps, 15fps*, 30fps*] Select the speed at wh\eich the JP\fG images \eare to be refreshed. p When “On” is selected as the “H.264 transmission” setting and a value with an asterisk (*) is selected, \e the image refresh in\eterval may become slower than the value which is set. Note Image capture size [QVGA, VGA] QVG\b or VG\b is selected here as\e the JP\fG image resolution. Image qualit\f [0(Highest image qualit\f), 1(High image qualit\f), 2, 3, 4, 5(standard), 6, 7, 8, 9(Low image qualit\f)] Set the image qualit\ey of the JP\fG images\e. H.264 image settings Set the bit rate, image capture size (resolution), imag\ee quality, etc. of the H.264 image\es for each client. For the settings rela\eted to JP\fG images, refer to “JP\fG image settings”. H.264 transmission\p [On, Off] Whether to transmit the H.264 im\eages is set here usi\eng On or Off. H.264 transmission can be u\esed by Windows only. On H.264 images are tr\eansmitted. Off H.264 images are no\et transmitted. p When “On” has been selected as\e the “H.264 transmission” setting, both H.26\e4 images and JP\fG images can be d\eisplayed on the live screen. p When “On” has been selected as\e the “H.264 transmission” setting, the image \erefresh interval may become slower. Notes Internet mode (over HTTP) [On, Off] This setting is sele\ected when transmitting the H.26\e4 images over the internet. H.264 images can b\ee transmitted using the\e same broadband rou\eter settings as when transmitting JP\fG ima\eges. On The H.264 images ar\ee transmitted using the\e HTTP port. For details on settin\eg the HTTP port number, refer to page 89. Off The H.264 images ar\ee transmitted using the\e UDP port. p When “On” is set, only “Unicast port (\bUTO)” can be selected as the “Transmission type” setting. p When “On” is set, it takes a few seconds before the H.264 images are di\esplayed. p When “On” is set, the H.264 \eimages may not be displayed, depending on the \enumber of users accessing the unit \eat the same time. p When “On” is selected as the “H.264 transmission” setting, the number of users who \ecan access the unit is limited to \ea maximum of 10. Notes
68 Controls and settings fr\pom web screen(continued) Image capture size [QVGA, VGA] QVG\b or VG\b is selected here as\e the H.264 image resolution. Transmission priorit\p\f [Constant bit rate\p, Frame rate] The transmission mode of \ethe H.264 images is\e set here. Constant bit rate The H.264 images ar\ee transmitted at the bi\et rate which was set by “Max bit rate (per client)*”. Frame rate The H.264 images ar\ee transmitted at the fr\eame rate which was set by “Frame rate”. p When “Frame rate” is selected as the “Transmission priority” setting, there may be a reduction in\e the number of users who \ecan be connected. Note Frame rate [1fps, 3fps, 5fps*, 7.5fps*, 10fps*, 15fps*, 20fps*, 30fps*] The frame rate of the H.264 im\eages is set here. p This setting can be\e selected only when “Frame rate” has been selected as \ethe “Transmission priority” setting. p “Frame rate” is linked to “Max bit rate (per client)*”. If a value indicated by an asterisk (*) has been selected, the frame rate (image refresh i\enterval) may become slower. Notes \bax bit rate (per c\plient)* [64kbps, 128kbps*, 256kbps*, 384kbps*, 512kbps*, 768kbps*, 1024kbps*, 1536kbps*, 2048kbps*, 3072kbps*, 4096kbps*, Unlimited*] The H.264 bit rate per client is sele\ected here. p “64kbps” or “128kbps” can be selected only\e when QVG\b or VG\b has been set. p “Unlimited*” can be selected only\e when “Frame rate” has been selected as \ethe “Transmission priority” setting. p The H.264 bit rate is linked to the “Bandwidth control(bit rate)” of the network setting (see page 89). If a value indicated by an asterisk (*) is selected, \e the bit rate may become slower than the value which has been set. Notes Image qualit\f [Low(\botion priorit\f), Normal, Fine(Image qualit\f priorit\f)]\p The image quality of\e the H.264 images i\es selected here. p This setting can be\e selected only when “Constant bit rate” has been selected as\e the “Transmission priority” setting. Note Refresh interval [0.2s, 0.33s, 0.5s, 1s, 2s, 3s, 4s, 5s] The H.264 image refr\eesh interval (1-frame interval: 0.2 seconds to 5 seconds) is selected \ehere. When there are many errors in the netw\eork environment, setting a short refresh interval reduces the distu\erbance in the images. However, the image refresh \espeed may also be reduced.
69 Controls and settings fr\pom web screen(continued) Transmission t\fpe [Unicast port (AUTO), Unicast port (\bANUAL), \bulticast] The transmission system f\eor the H.264 images\e is selected here. Unicast port (\bUTO) With this setting, \eup to 14 users can \e access one camera at the same time. When sending images \efrom the unit, “Unicast port(image)” is selected automatically. If there is no need \eto always use the same port number for sending the H.264 images in cas\ees where the unit is used in a network, for instance, it is recommended that \e“Unicast port (\bUTO)” be selected. Unicast port (M\bNU\bL) With this setting, \eup to 14 users can \e access one camera at the same time. When sending images \efrom the camera, “Unicast port (M\bNU\bL)” must be set manually. When sending H.264 \eimages over the internet, always use the same communication-enabled port number that is set in the \ebroadband router (hereafter, the “router”). For further details, refer to the operating instructions of the rout\eer used. Multicast With this setting, \ethe number of users who can access one \ecamera at the same time is unlimit\eed. When sending H.264 \eat the “Multicast” setting, input the “Multicast address”\e, “Multicast port”, and “Multicast TTL/ HOPLimit”. p When “Unicast port (M\bNU\bL)” has been selected, the “Unicast port(image)” must be set. Note Unicast port(image) [1024 to 50000]\p (Onl\f even numbers can be set) The Unicast port number (used when sen\eding images from the unit) is i\enput here. \bulticast address [Setting range: 224.0.0.0 to 239.\p255.255.255] The Multicast IP ad\edress is input here. The images are sent \eto the specified IP \eaddress. p Input the address af\eter checking which Multicast\e IP addresses can be use\ed. Note \bulticast port [1024 to 50000] (Onl\f even numbers can be set) The Multicast port number (used when sen\eding images from the unit) is i\enput here. p If “Multicast” has been selected as\e the “Transmission type” setting, the Multic\east address must be set. Note \bulticast TTL/HOPLimit [1 to\p 254] The Multicast TTL/HOP Limit is i\enput here. p When sending H.264 \eimages over the internet or VPN, the images sent may not be displayed. In a case like this, check with the network administrator. p When displaying Multicast imag\ees using a personal \e computer into which\e a multiple number of L\bN cards \ehave been inserted, disable the L\bN card that\e will not be used to receive the images.
