     Zoom
    Use this to enable or disable the digital 
    zoom.
    Use this to adjust \ethe zoom (magnification\e) 
    to 1.0.
    Use this to adjust \ethe zoom (magnification\e) 
    in the Wide direction.
    Use this to adjust \ethe zoom (magnification\e) 
    in the Tele direction.
     Focus
    Use this to switch between auto and 
    manual focusing.
    When \buto is selected, the \efocus is 
    adjusted automatica\elly.
    Use this to adjust \ethe focus in the Near 
    direction.
    It does not work during automatic 
    adjustments.
    When this is pressed\e while the focus is 
    being adjusted manually, the focus will be 
    temporarily adjusted automa\etically.
    It does not work during automatic 
    adjustments.
    Use this to adjust \ethe focus in the Far 
    direction.
    It does not work during automatic 
    adjustments.
     Control pad and its buttons
    To adjust the image \ein the horizontal 
    or vertical direction (pan\ening or 
    tilting), left-click the pad and the 
    buttons.
    The more the outside\e of the pad 
    is clicked, the faster the camera 
    operates. \bdjustment is also \epossible 
    by dragging the mouse.
    Right-click the pad to initiat\ee zooming 
    and focusing.
    When the top half of\e the pad is 
    clicked in the up or down direction, 
    the zoom (magnification\e) is adjusted 
    in the Tele direction; conversely, when 
    the bottom half of \ethe pad is adjusted,\e 
    the zoom is adjusted in \ethe Wide 
    direction.
    When the left half of\e the pad is 
    clicked in the left or right direction, 
    the focus is adjusted in\e the Near 
    direction; conversely when the right 
    half of the pad is a\edjusted, the focus 
    is adjusted in the \eFar direction.
    The zooming can also be \eadjusted by 
    operating the mouse whee\el. p
     When the mouse is us\eed for dragging and 
    dropping from the co\entrol pad area to a \eposition 
    outside this area, \ethe panning, tilting\e and other 
    operations will not sto\ep.  
    In a case like this, click the control pad are\ea to stop 
    these operations.
    Note
      Brightness
    Use this to make the image darker.
    It does not work during automatic 
    adjustments.
    Use this to make the image lighter.
    It does not work during automatic 
    adjustments.
    Use this to switch the brightness adjustment\e 
    between auto and manual.
    When \buto is selected, the \epicture 
    brightness is adjuste\ed automatically.
     Speed
    Use this to select t\ehe speed at which th\ee 
    pan, tilt, zoom and focus operations are to 
    be performed.
     Preset
    When the preset posit\eion is selected from\e 
    the pull-down menu and the Move button is 
    clicked, the camera direction moves to the 
    preset position whic\eh was registered ahead \e
    of time.
    Preset positions are\e registered on the 
    preset position scree\en.
    The camera direction moves to the preset 
    position which is n\eow selected on the 
    pull-down menu.
    The settings that a\ere reproduced at thi\es 
    position are the set\etings which were 
    established on the “Preset Scope” menu 
    (see pages 49, 78 an\ed 81).
    The camera direction moves to the home 
    position if “Home” has been selected on\e the 
    pull-down menu.
     Scene
    Use this if the scen\ees are to be switched 
    when the shooting m\eode is selected from \e
    the pull-down menu and the Set button is 
    clicked.
    Use this to switch to the shooti\eng mode now 
    being selected using \ethe pull-down menu.

    The following functions are \esupported by Windows only.
     SnapShot
    This function acqu\eires still images fr\eom the 
    videos displayed on the Live screen.
    This closes the Snap\eShot screen.
     Full‑screen displa\f
    This function enables the full-screen di\esplay 
    of images displayed on the Live screen on 
    the computer screen.

    w Live screen: \bulti displa\f mode
    In this mode, the images of a m\eultiple number of cameras can be monitored\e on one screen (calle\ed the ‘multi screen’).
    The image of 4 cameras or max. 16 cameras can be monitored\e at one time.
    In order to use the \emulti screen, the cam\eeras whose images are \eto be shown on the multi screen must be set ahead of \etime.
    With one group consisting of \e4 cameras, up to four groups of cameras (a total of 16 cameras) can be registere\ed (see page 83).
     
     \bulti‑Screen list box (\bulti‑screen)
    The Live screen display method is selected \ehere.
    The IP videos of th\ee connected camera are 
    displayed.
    When the cameras for multi-screen display 
    have been set ahead of t\eime using the 
    multi-screen setting \e(page 83), it is possible 
    to view a multiple number of IP videos \eon a 
    single screen. (Multi display mode)
    This displays the IP videos in\e the mode 
    which was set in the list b\eox.
    p
     The IP videos displa\eyed on the multi screen are JP\fG \e
    images only.
    p
     It is not possible to transfer from the Live screen to the 
    multi screen if the u\enit’s power has been turned off, or the 
    network cable has been disconnec\eted, while IP videos\e are

    w Setup screen
    The settings for the unit are selec\eted on this screen.
    p
     The setting menu operations can be performed only by users whose access\e level is “1. \bdministrator”.  
    For the procedure used\e to set the access l\eevel, refer to page 84.
    p
    q Basic screen
    Press the  button to switch to the Setup s\ecreen on which to es\etablish the camera’s settings.
    When the Setup button is pressed, th\ee login screen shown 
    below is displayed.
    The initial settings\e for the user name and\e password are 
    given below.
    User name admin
    Password 12345 When the OK button is clicked after inputting t\ehe values, 
    the screen shown below is displayed.
    Click the OK button.
    p
     While the initial set\etings remain used f\eor the user 
    name and password, a message promp\eting the 
    user to change the u\eser name and password is 
    displayed after authorization.  
    In order to ensure s\eecurity, the password for the 
    user name of “admin” must be changed with\eout fail.  
    It is also recommend\eed that the password be 
    changed at regular i\entervals.

    The image refresh in\eterval (refresh speed), i\emage capture 
    size (resolution) and i\emage quality is set \ehere.
    For the settings rela\eted to H.264 images\e, refer to “H.264 
    image settings”.
     Refresh interval (JPEG)*
      [1fps, 2fps, 3fps, 5fps, 6fps, 10fps, 15fps*, 30fps*]
    
    Select the speed at wh\eich the JP\fG images \eare to be 
    refreshed.
    p
     When “On” is selected as the “H.264 transmission” 
    setting and a value with an asterisk (*) is selected, \e
    the image refresh in\eterval may become slower than 
    the value which is set.
    Note
      Image capture size [QVGA, VGA]
    
    QVG\b or VG\b is selected here as\e the JP\fG image 
    resolution.
     Image qualit\f
        [0(Highest image qualit\f), 1(High image qualit\f), 
    2, 3, 4, 5(standard), 6, 7, 8, 9(Low image qualit\f)]
    
    Set the image qualit\ey of the JP\fG images\e.
    H.264 image settings
    Set the bit rate, image capture size (resolution), imag\ee 
    quality, etc. of the H.264 image\es for each client.
    For the settings rela\eted to JP\fG images, refer to “JP\fG 
    image settings”.
     H.264 transmission\p [On, Off] 
    
    Whether to transmit the H.264 im\eages is set here usi\eng 
    On or Off. H.264 transmission can be u\esed by Windows 
    only.
    On H.264 images are tr\eansmitted.
    Off H.264 images are no\et transmitted.
    p
     When “On” has been selected as\e the “H.264 
    transmission” setting, both H.26\e4 images and 
    JP\fG images can be d\eisplayed on the live screen. 
    p
     When “On” has been selected as\e the “H.264 
    transmission” setting, the image \erefresh interval 
    may become slower.
    Notes
      Internet mode (over HTTP) [On, Off]
    
    This setting is sele\ected when transmitting the H.26\e4 
    images over the internet. H.264 images can b\ee 
    transmitted using the\e same broadband rou\eter settings as 
    when transmitting JP\fG ima\eges.
    On The H.264 images ar\ee transmitted using the\e 
    HTTP port. For details on settin\eg the HTTP port 
    number, refer to page 89.
    Off The H.264 images ar\ee transmitted using the\e 
    UDP port.
    p
     When “On” is set, only “Unicast port (\bUTO)” can 
    be selected as the “Transmission type” setting.
    p
     When “On” is set, it takes a few seconds before the 
    H.264 images are di\esplayed.
    p
     When “On” is set, the H.264 \eimages may not be 
    displayed, depending on the \enumber of users 
    accessing the unit \eat the same time.
    p
     When “On” is selected as the “H.264 transmission” 
    setting, the number of users who \ecan access the 
    unit is limited to \ea maximum of 10.

    Constant bit rate The H.264 images ar\ee 
    transmitted at the bi\et rate which 
    was set by “Max bit rate (per 
    client)*”.
    Frame rate The H.264 images ar\ee 
    transmitted at the fr\eame rate 
    which was set by “Frame rate”.

     When “Frame rate” is selected as the “Transmission 
    priority” setting, there may be a reduction in\e the 
    number of users who \ecan be connected.

    The H.264 image refr\eesh interval (1-frame interval: 
    0.2 seconds to 5 seconds) is selected \ehere.
    When there are many errors in the netw\eork environment, 
    setting a short refresh interval reduces the distu\erbance in 
    the images.
    However, the image refresh \espeed may also be reduced.

     Transmission t\fpe
        [Unicast port (AUTO), Unicast port (\bANUAL), 
    \bulticast]
    
    The transmission system f\eor the H.264 images\e is selected 
    here.
    Unicast port 
    (\bUTO) With this setting, \eup to 14 users can \e
    access one camera at the same time.
    When sending images \efrom the unit, 
    “Unicast port(image)” is selected 
    automatically.
    If there is no need \eto always use the 
    same port number for sending the 
    H.264 images in cas\ees where the unit 
    is used in a network, for instance, it 
    is recommended that \e“Unicast port 
    (\bUTO)” be selected.
    Unicast port 
    (M\bNU\bL) With this setting, \eup to 14 users can \e
    access one camera at the same time.
    When sending images \efrom the 
    camera, “Unicast port (M\bNU\bL)” 
    must be set manually.
    When sending H.264 \eimages over 
    the internet, always use the same 
    communication-enabled port number 
    that is set in the \ebroadband router 
    (hereafter, the “router”).
    For further details, refer to the 
    operating instructions of the rout\eer 
    used.
    Multicast With this setting, \ethe number of users 
    who can access one \ecamera at the 
    same time is unlimit\eed.
    When sending H.264 \eat the “Multicast” 
    setting, input the “Multicast address”\e, 
    “Multicast port”, and “Multicast TTL/
    HOPLimit”.
    p
     When “Unicast port (M\bNU\bL)” has been selected, 
    the “Unicast port(image)” must be set.
    Note
      Unicast port(image) [1024 to 50000]\p

    The Unicast port number (used when sen\eding images

    computer into which\e a multiple number of L\bN cards \ehave 
    been inserted, disable the L\bN card that\e will not be used
