(However, the White Balance setting for a Scene Mode returns to [AWB] when the Scene Mode is changed.) •In the Scene Guide Modes listed below, White Balance is fixed to [AWB].–[Backlit Softness]/[Relaxing Tone]/[Distinct Scenery]/[Bright Blue Sky]/[Romantic Sunset Glow]/[Vivid Sunset Glow]/[Glistening Water]/[Clear Nightscape]/[Cool Night Sky]/[Warm Glowing Nightscape]/[Artistic Nightscape]/[Glittering Illuminations]/[Clear Night Portrait]/ [Appetizing Food]/[Cute Dessert] •When [Direct Focus Area] (P155) is set to [ON], the operations on the cursor buttons translate to movements of the AF area. Set using the Quick Menu (P43). ∫Auto White Balance Depending on the conditions prevailing when pictur es are taken, the pictures may take on a reddish or bluish tinge. Furthermore, when a multiple number of light sources are being used or there is nothing with a color close to white, Auto White Balance may not function properly.
