You can display the recording screen in black and white. This function is convenient when 
a black and white screen will make it easier to set focus with Manual Focus.

If [4K Down Convert] works when the motion picture size is set to [4K] or [C4K] in [Rec Quality] 
and the image is output through the HDMI connection, it may take longer than usual to adjust 
the focus with Auto Focus and the camera may respond slower to continuous focus 
adjustment.
•If you use the Wi-Fi function while using the HDMI output with [Bit Mode] set to [4:2:2 8bit], the

Time code represents the recording time by the units of hour, 
minute, second and frame, and can be used as a time scale 
for editing motion pictures. This unit automatically records 
time code during motion picture recording.

Time codes are not recorded on motion pictures recorded when 
the [Rec Format] is set to [MP4].

You can record slow motion or fast motion pict ures by changing the frame rate. In [Variable 
Frame Rate], you can set the frame rate for recording.
Slow motion pictures (overcrank recording)
Used in scenes such as climaxes, a slow moti on effect creates a dramatic impression. Set 
a frame rate that provides more frames than the recording frame rate in [Rec Quality] 
does.

•When [Rec Format] is set to [AVCHD], you cannot set a frame rate with a number of frames 
greater than 60fps.
•If you set a frame rate greater than 60fps when [Ex. Tele Conv.] in the [Motion Picture] menu is

You can reduce flickering and horizontal stri pes on images in Creative Video Mode. By 
fine-adjusting the shutter speed, you can redu ce flickering and horizontal stripes that 
appear on the camera’s image when recording the screen of a TV or PC.

You can display color bars, which is convenient  for adjusting settings such as the picture 
quality of an external monitor. When you display color bars, a test tone will also be output.
