    image of the fast moving animal.
    [Clear Sports Shot]
    The faster shutter speed prevents blur, for example at 
    sporting events.

    Recording Mode: 
    Taking Pictures with different image effects 
    (Creative Control Mode)
    This mode records with additional image effects. You can set the effects to add by 
    selecting example images and checking them on the screen.
    Set Recording Mode to [ ].
    •For details on setting up Recording Mode, refer to P29.
    Select an image effect (filters) with reference to 
    the example images, and touch.
    •The image effect of the selected example image will be applied 
    in a preview display A.•The image effect can be switched by touching [ ]/[ ].
    •Touch [ ] to display the explanation for the selected image 
    effect.

    The strength and colors of the effects can  be easily adjusted to fit your preferences.

    •The settings screen can also be displayed from the 
    recording screen by pressing cursor button  1.

    •Setting can also be performed by rotating the control dial.•The items that can be set differ depending on which 
    Creative Control Mode is currently set.
    For information on each image effect, refer to 
    “Items that 
    can be set”.
    •Touch [ ] again to return to the recording screen.  
    Pressing  1 also takes you back to the recording screen.
    •When making the effect setting, [ ] is displayed on the screen.•If you cannot change the settings, select the center (standard).

    Touch [Switch] to switch between displaying 2 or 3 example images on the screen for selecting 
    image effects.
    •Creative Control settings are memorized even if the camera is turned off.•White Balance will be fixed to [AWB], and  [Sensitivity] will be fixed to [AUTO].
    •In Creative Control Mode, you can adjust brightness.
    •You can set defocus control by touching [ ] on the recording screen 
    and then touching [ ]. (P43)
    •You can also record still pictures by touching [ ] on the recording 
    screen and then touching [ ].

    With [Miniature Effect] you can make the subject stand out by intentionally creating 
    defocused and in-focus portions. You can se t the recording orientation (defocus 
    orientation) and the position and size of the in-focus portion.

    •Display of the recording screen will be delayed mo re than usual and the screen will look as if 
    frames are dropping.
    •No sound is recorded in motion pictures.•Approximately 1/10 of the time period is recorded. (If you record for 10 minutes, the resulting 
    motion picture recording will be approximately 1 minute long.)
    The displayed available recording time is approximately 10 times. When switching to Recording 
    Mode, please check the available recording time.
    •When the [Focus Mode] is set to [MF], move the focused location to the in-focus portion.
    4Touch the in-focus portion.
    •It is also possible to move the in-focus portion using the 
    cursor button.
    5Drag the slide bar to change the size of in-focus 
    portion.

    It can be changed to 3 different sizes.•Enlarge/reduce can also be performed by rotating the 
    control dial.
    •If you touch [Reset], settings for the non-blurred portions are 
    restored to the initial settings.
