NORMAL:Sets the horizontal resolution to more

HIGH:Sets the horizontal resolution to more than

•PIX OFF Setting (PIX OFF)
In this setting, you can assign a blemish position
and compensate the blemish.
1. Move the cursor to PIX OFF and press the CAM
(SET) key. The PIX OFF menu appears.
2. Select a number and press the CAM (SET) key. The
blemish compensation position setting screen
appears.
Move the joystick to place the + cursor on the
blemish position. After moving the + cursor to a
position where the blemish looks inconspicuous,
press the CAM (SET) key. Consequently, the blem-

Reset to the Factory Default Settings
Any of the above settings plus the ALC/MANUAL level
control and phase adjustments can be reset to the fac-
tory default settings by placing the cursor over the
desired mode and then pressing the F2 button of WV-
CU550C/CJ.
For WV-RM70, hold down the right and left switches
simultaneously for 2 seconds or more.
For WV-CU360C/CJ and WV-CU161C, hold down the
[4] and [6] keys simultaneously for 2 seconds or more.

INSTALLATION
■Mounting the Camera
Ceiling mount
The figure shows an example of the camera mounted
on a ceiling with a locally procured bracket.
Refer to the instructions included with the bracket for
filling gaps and holes with waterproof material.
Sun Shield
Use the optional WV-7176E Sun Shield to protect the
camera from direct sunlight. See instructions included
with the sun shield.

1. Preparations
(1) Procure a ceiling mount bracket.
(2) Installation Surface
CAUTION:Consult an expert on the load bear-
ing capacity of the installation surface and
structure. If the surface is not strong enough,
the camera may fall down. Refer to the prod-
uct specifications for weights.
Prepare appropriate hardware (e.g. wall nuts,
anchor bolts, etc.) for fixing on the installation
surface.
2. Disassembling the Camera
(1) Remove the upper base from the camera by
loosening 3 screws. Turn the...

4. Setting the Switches
The 8-bit DIP switch has two functions.  It is used to
restore the factory default settings and to specify the
unit number.  Before setting, peel off the seal cover-
ing the switch holes. After setting the switch, replace
the seal.  The 4-bit DIP switch selects termination
ON/OFF and half/full duplex for RS485 communica-
tion.  The switch settings are read into the camera
when the power is turned on.  After changing the

Unit Number
Switch 1, an 8-bit DIP switch, specifies the unit number or restores the factory
default settings when using the Panasonic protocol.
When the switch position corresponding to the unit number 1-96* is selected,
setting should be made on the RS485 SET UP menu (see page 43).
