This manual describes the procedures for upgrading
    DVEdit to the newest software.
Observe the following procedures to correctly replace
    the existing software.
After replacing the Targa driver, be sure to replace, or
    write over, the existing software.
Otherwise, normal operation cannot be expected.
    nPrecautions for Version-up
    lTarga Driver
The new Targa driver cannot be written over the old
driver to upgrade the version. First, remove the old
driver from DVEdit by uninstalling, then install the new
Targa driver to upgrade the version. After replacing the
Targa driver, be sure to reinstall (or overwrite) DVEdit.
    lDVEdit Software
In upgrading the DVEdit software version, the new
software can be written over the old software. Different
from the Targa driver, it is not necessary to uninstall the
    old software.
Overwrite permits use of the existing A/V data as it is
even after upgrading the version. If the new software is
installed after uninstalling the existing software, all the
data will be erased for a new setup.
    lPrecautions
The following two cases can be considered in installing
    the new software in DVEdit.
Carefully replace the existing software by observing the
version-up procedures for each of the three cases
    described in the following section.
    1. Erasing data from DVEdit already in use
    2. Not erasing data from DVEdit already in use
    nUpdating Procedures
lErasing Data from DVEdit Already in Use

    properly expand the virtual memory.

    (a) Confirming the version of the Targa driver in use
Confirm the version of the Targa driver installed in
DVEdit at present. This can be confirmed on the DVR
Information panel. Click Start, Program, TARGA
DV2000 and DVRInfo to call this panel on the
screen. Watch the Software tag, referring to the
