Page 35 Entering Data in Your Handheld Your handheld includes the following predefined Graffiti ShortCuts: Using the onscreen keyboard You can open the onscreen keyboard anytime you need to enter text or numbers on your handheld. Note that you cannot enter Graffiti characters while using the onscreen keyboard. To use the onscreen keyboard: 1. Open an application (such as Address Book). 2. Tap a record, or tap New. 3. Page 37 Entering Data in Your Handheld Importing data If you have data stored in computer applications such as spreadsheets and databases, or if you want to import data from another handheld, you can transfer the data to your handheld without having to key it in manually. Save the data in one of the file formats listed below, import it into Palm Desktop software, and then perform a HotSync operation to transfer the data to your handheld.
