Launch a web browser from a computer or WiFi device that is connected to\ the network. 2. Enter http://www .routerlogin.net. A login window displays. 3. Enter the user name and password. The user name is admin. The default password is password. The user name and password are case-sensitive. The BASIC Home page displays. 4. Register Your Router With ReadyCLOUD After you create a ReadyCLOUD account, you must register your router wit\ h your ReadyCLOUD account. To register your router with your ReadyCLOUD account: 1. V isit http://kb.netgear.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/27323/ and check to see if you router supports ReadyCLOUD. 2. Connect a USB storage device to a USB port on the router. If your USB storage device uses a power supply , you must use it when you connect the USB storage device to the router. When you connect the USB storage device to the router’s USB port, it might take up to two minutes before it is ready for sharing. By default, the USB storage device is available to all computers on your local area network (LAN). 3. Launch a web browser from a computer or WiFi device that is connected to\ the network. 4. This change is required for ReadyCLOUD to remotely access the USB storage device. 9. After registration, visit http://readycloud.netgear.com . 10. Click the Sign In link, enter your ReadyCLOUD user name and password, and click the Sign In button. The ReadyCLOUD page displays the router that you registered and the cont\ ents of the USB storage device that is connected to the router. View Photos on Your USB Device With Kwilt You can use Kwilt to view photos stored on a USB storage device that is c\ onnected to the router. Kwilt is a free app for iOS devices that lets you view photos fr\ om different sources. To add the router to your Kwilt account and view photos stored on a USB s\ torage device: 1. T ransfer your photos to a USB storage device. 2. Connect your USB storage device to the router. 3. Make sure that the router is connected to the Internet. 4. Connect your iOS device to the router’ s WiFi network. If you set up a guest network, make sure that you are not connected to t\ he guest network. 5. Download the Kwilt app to your iOS device from the Apple App Store. 6. Launch the Kwilt app on your iOS device. 7. Log in or create a Kwilt account. 8. If you created a new account, authorize your photo streams, add them to \ your account, and read the tutorial. The Kwilt timeline page displays. 9. T ap the icon. The Kwilt settings page displays. 10. T ap PHOTO STREAMS and tap the icon. The ADD PHOTO STREAMS page displays.

Use the Router as a Media Server 98 Nighthawk AC1900 Smart WiFi Router Specify ReadyDLNA Media Server Settings By default, the router acts as a ReadyDLNA media server, which lets you view movies and photos on DLNA/UPnP AV-compliant media players, such as Xbox360, Playstation, and NETGEAR media players. To specify media server settings: 1. Launch a web browser from a computer or WiFi device that is connected to the network. 2. Enter http://www.routerlogin.net. A login window displays. 3. Enter the router user name and password. The user name is admin. The default password is password. The user name and password are case-sensitive. The BASIC Home page displays. 4. Select ADVANCED > USB Functions > ReadySHARE Storage. The USB Storage (Advanced Settings) page displays. 5. Select the Media Server tab. The Media Server (Settings) page displays. 6. Specify the settings: •Enable Media Server. Select this check box to enable this device to act as a media server. •Enable TiVo support. You can also use the Apple Remote app from an iPhone or iPad to play music on any AirPlay devices, such as Apple TV or AirPlay-supported receivers. Figure 11. Set Up the Router’s iTunes Server With iTunes You can play music from a USB device that is connected to your router wit\ h iTunes on your Windows or Mac computer using Home Sharing. To set up Home Sharing, you need an Apple account and the latest version of iTunes installed on your computer. To set up the router’s iTunes server to play music on iTunes: 1. Connect a USB storage device to a USB port on your router . 2. If your USB storage device uses a power supply , connect it. You must use the power supply when you connect the USB storage device to \ the router. When you connect the USB storage device to the router’s USB port, it might take up to two minutes before it is ready for sharing.
