    Highlight  ................Indicates the selected menu or item. 
    Solid triangle   .........Indicates further choices are available. A highlighted triangle indicate\
    s the item is active. 
    Tab  .........................Indicates a group of features in a dialog box. Selecting on any tab brin\
    gs its page to the front.
    Radio button   ..........Use this round button to select an option in a dialog box.
    Check box  ..............Place a checkmark in the square box to turn the option On. 
    Slide bar  ................Indicates settings or the direction of adjustment.
    OK button   ..............Press to confirm your setting.  y ou will return to the previous menu.
    Cancel button  .........Press to cancel your setting.  y ou will return to the previous menu.
    Close button  ..........Click to close the window and saving changes (USB mouse only).

     Menu Descriptions & Functions [SOURCE]
    COMPUTER 1 and 2
    Selects the computer connected to your COMPUTER 1 or COMPUTER 2 input co\
    nnector signal.
    HDMI
    Selects the HDMI compatible equipment connected to your HDMI IN connecto\
    r.
    VIDEO
    Selects what is connected to your VIDEO input-VCR, DVD player or documen\
    t camera.
    S-VIDEO
    Selects what is connected to your S-VIDEO input-VCR or DVD player.
    NOTE:  A  frame  may  freeze  for  a  brief  period  of  time  when  a  video  is  played  back  in  fast-forward  or  fast-rewind  with  a  Video  or 
    S-Video source.
    VIEWER
    This  feature  enables  you  to  make  presentations  using  a  USB  memory  that  contains  captured  images  and  slides 
    created  with  the  exclusive  Ulead  Photo  Explorer  8.0  for  NEC  contained  on  the  optional  User  Supportware  5  CD-
    ROM.
    NETWORK
    Selects a signal from the LAN port (RJ-45).
    When a source connected on a network is not made settings, the [NETWORK]\
     menu will be displayed.
    ENTRY LIST
    Displays a list of signals. (→ page 73)

    [E NTRY  L IST]
    Us ng the Entry L  st
    When any source adjustments are made, the adjustments are automatically registered in the Entry List. The (adjust-
    ment values of) registered signals can be loaded from the Entry List wh\
    enever necessary.
    However, only up to 100 patterns can be registered in the Entry List. When 100 patterns have been registered in the  
    Entry List, an error message is then displayed and no additional patterns can be registered. You should thus delete 
    (adjustment values of) signals that are no longer needed.

    1.  Display the Entry List.
    2.   Use the SELECT 
     or  button on your remote control or the projector cabinet to select any number.

     button to select [ S TORE] and press the ENTER button.
     
    You can edit signals on the [ E NTRY  L IST].

    Enter a signal name. Up to 18 alphanumeric characters can be used.

    Set so that the selected signal cannot be deleted when [ A LL  D ELETE] is executed. After executing [L OCK], 
    the changes cannot be saved.
    Sk
    I p:
    Set so that the selected signal will be skipped during auto search.
    When complete, select OK and press ENTER. To exit without storing the setting, select Cancel. Select 
    [S OURCE  N AME ] and press ENTER to display the Source Name Edit window.  y ou can change source 
    name on this window. Press  to display the software keyboard, which you can enter alphanumeric 
    characters.

     Menu Descriptions & Functions [ADJUST]
    [PICTURE]
    [mODE]
    This function allows you to determine how to save settings for [D ETAIL  S ETTINGS] of [P RESET] for each input.
    STANDARD   ............Saves settings for each item of [ P RESET] (Preset 1 through 6)
    PROFESSIONAL  .....Saves all the settings of [ P ICTURE] for each input. 
    [pRESET]
    This option allows you to adjust neutral tint for yellow, cyan or magenta. There are six factory presets optimized for 
    various types of images, you can set user adjustable settings.

    [D ETAIL  S ETTINGS]
    This will provide you with two pages of menus that provide more detailed\
     settings.
    [G ENERAL]
    Selecting Reference Setting [ R EFERENCE]
    This feature allows you to use color correction or gamma values as reference data to optimize for various types 
    of images. You can select one of the following six settings.
    H IGH -B RIGHT   ....
    Recommended for use in a brightly lit room.

    RESENTATION

    Recommended for making a presentation using a PowerPoint file.

    Each mode is recommended for:

    Adjusting Color Temperature [ C OLOR  T EMPERATURE]
    This option allows you to select the color temperature of your choice.
    NOTE:
    •   When [ P
    RESENTATION
    ] or [H IGH -B RIGHT] is selected in [ R EFERENCE], this function is not available.
    •
     
    When [ W
    HITE

    ALANCE
    ] settings has been changed, the color temperature value on screen does not reflect the real color 
    temperature.
    [ W HITE  B ALANCE]
    Adjusting White Balance [ W HITE  B ALANCE]
    This  allows  you  to  adjust  the  white  balance.  Contrast  for  each  color  (RGB)  to  adjust  the  white  level  of  the 
    screen; Brightness for each color (RGB) is used to adjust the black le\
    vel of the screen.

    [C ONTRAST]
    Adjusts the intensity of the image according to the incoming signal.
    [bRIG h TNESS]
    Adjusts the brightness level or the back raster intensity.
    [Sh AR p NESS]
    Controls the detail of the image for Video. (not valid for RGB and digi\
    tal signals).
    [C OLOR]
    Increases or decreases the color saturation level (not valid for RGB an\
    d digital signals).
    [hUE]
    Varies the color level from +/- green to +/-blue. The red level is used as reference. This adjustment is only valid for 
    Video, Component and TV standard inputs (not valid for RGB and digital \
    signals).

    The settings and adjustments for [ P ICTURE] will be returned to the factory settings with the exception of the fol\
    lowing; 
    Preset numbers and [R EFERENCE] within the [D ETAIL  S ETTINGS] screen when [S TANDARD] is selected in [M ODE].
    The settings and adjustments under [ D ETAIL  S ETTINGS] within the [P RESET] screen that are not currently select-
    ed will not be reset.

    [IMAGE OPTIONS]
    Adjust ng Clock and  p hase [C LOCK / p h ASE]
    This allows you to manually adjust C LOCK and P HASE.
    CLOCK   ...................Use this item to fine tune the computer image or to remove any vertical banding that might appear. This 
    function adjusts the clock frequencies that eliminate the horizontal ban\
    ding in the image.
    This adjustment may be necessary when you connect your computer for the first time.
    PHASE   ...................Use  this  item  to  adjust  the  clock  phase  or  to  reduce  video  noise,  dot  interference  or  cross  talk.  (This  is 
    evident when part of your image appears to be shimmering.)
    Use [P HASE] only after the [ C LOCK] is complete.
