CHAPTER 3 INSTALLATION
1. PRECAUTION IN HANDLING
When handling cards, the installer must wear a grounded wrist strap to protect the circuit card from static
electricity, and the installer must engage in the work on a grounded conductive work surface. Figure 3-1 illustrates
the actions to take while handling circuit cards.

In Table 3-2, the figure in the SWITCH NAME column and the position in   in the SETTING POSI-
TION column indicate the standard setting of the switch. When the switch is not set as shown by the figure
and  , the setting of the switch varies with the system concerned.
