    3-4-4. Adjusting the brightness of the projected screen (Lamp output) \l
    1 Press the LAMP button.
    The screen to adjust the \filamp output is dis\fiplayed. 
    TIPPress the ENTER \futton\fi to switch the dis\fiplay \fetween “Lamp \fiSetup (Adjust)” an\fid “Lamp Setup (Lam\fip Mode)”. 
    Note that while the LAMP ON/OFF \futton indicator is \flinking green (page 67), you cannot use the lamp mode 
    settings screen \fecause the lam\fip cannot \fe turned off and the lamp mod\fie cannot \fe set.
    2 Press the DOW\f button.
    3 Press the LEFT/RIGHT button to adjust the lamp o\lutput.
    The specified adjust\fiment value is appl\fiied.

    NOTEWhile the LAMP ON/OFF \futton indicator is \flinking green (page 67), you cannot use the lamp mode settings 
    screen \fecause the lamp mode cannot \fe set. Wait until the LAMP ON/OFF \futton indicator changes from \flink-
    ing to steady on.
    1 Press the LAMP button.
    The screen to adjust the \filamp output is dis\fiplayed.
    2 Press the LAMP button while the lamp o\lutput adjustment s\lcreen is displayed.
    The screen to select the \filamp mode is displ\fiayed. 
    TIPPress the ENTER \futton\fi to switch the dis\fiplay \fetween “Lamp \fiSetup (Adjust)” an\fid “Lamp Setup (Lam\fip Mode)”. 
    3 Press the LEFT/RIGHT button to select the lamp t\lo use.
    Dual Uses lamp 1 and la\fimp 2 at the same t\fiime.
    Lamp 1 Uses only lamp 1 (\filamp 2 is not used\fi).
    Lamp 2 Uses only lamp 2 (\filamp 1 is not used\fi).
    4 Press the E\fTER button.
    • \bf the lamp is on\fi, the changed setti\fings are applied immediat\fiely.
    • \bf the lamp is of\fif, the settings are applied the next\fi time the lamp is \fiturned on.
    NO TEWhen the lamp mode is changed, the LAMP ON/OFF \futton indicator \flinks green (See page 67). You cannot 
    change the lamp mode while the LAMP ON/OFF \futton indicator is \flinking. Wait until the LAMP ON/OFF \futton 
    indicator changes f\firom \flinking to stea\fidy on.

    3-5. Preventing misoperations
    Buttons on the control panel can \fe locked (KEY LOCK) to prevent misoperations. Buttons on the control panel do not function 
    while KEY LOCK is \fion. KEY LOCK must \fi\fe off to operate these\fi \futtons. 
    NOTE• KEY LOCK is automa\fitically turned on in the foll\fiowing cases. 
     
    - When the projector has entered the stand\fy state \fy turning on the main power switch of the projector while 
    the AC power is su\fipplied. 
     
    - When the projector has entered the stand\fy stat\fie after turning off the power using t\fihe POWER \futton.
    •  The  timing  where  KEY  LOCK  is  turned  on  while  the  projector  is  in  stand\fy  state  depends  on  the  “Auto  Key 
    Lock” setting in th\fie adjustment menu.\fi 
     
    - When Auto Key Lock is ena\fled, KEY LOCK \fecomes automatically on if no control panel operation takes 
    place in the stand\fy state for 30 seconds. KEY LOCK \fecomes automatically on again even after KEY LOCK 
    is turned off if no control panel operation\fi takes place for 3\fi0 seconds.
     
    - When  Auto  Key  Lock  is  disa\fled,  KEY  LOCK  \fecomes  automatically  on  when  the  projector  enters  the 
    stand\fy state; howe\fiver, it stays off after KEY LOCK i\fis turned off.
    3-5-1. KEY LOCK setting
       •  Press the KEY LOCK button on the control panel for one second or lo\lnger.
    KEY LOCK \fecomes on. The KEY LOCK \futton indicator lights orange. When you press a \futton on the control panel 
    of the projector while KEY LOCK is on, ”Panel is Locked. (KEY LOCK)” is displayed, and the \futton will not function.

    3-5-2. Turning KEY LOCK off
       • Press the KEY LOCK button for one second or lo\lnger while KEY LOCK is on.

    • When you turn the lamp on or c\fihange the lamp mode\fi
    The indicators of the POWER \futton and the LAMP ON/OFF \futton \flink green. The projector cannot \fe turned 
    off while the POWER \futton indicator is \flinking (in cycles of 2). The lamp cannot \fe turned off while the LAMP 
    ON/OFF \futton indica\fitor is \flinking.
    •  When you turn the lamp off
    The LAMP ON/OFF \futton indicator \flinks green. The lamp cannot \fe turned on while the LAMP ON/OFF \fut-
    ton indicator is \fl\fiinking.
    \bf  you  operate  the  POWER  \futton  or  LAMP  ON/OFF  \futton  while  the  indicators  are  \flinking,  the  LCD  screen 
    displays the warning screen \felow. The POWER \futton or LAMP ON/OFF \futton \fecomes opera\fle when the 
    amount of time remaining reaches 0.
    When you turn the lamp on or 
    change the lamp mod\fieWhen you turn the lamp off
    3-6-1. Turning off the lamp
       •  Press the LAMP O\f/OFF\l button on the control panel for five seconds or longer. 
    3-6-2. Turning on the lamp
       • Press the LAMP O\f/OFF\l button on the control panel for five seconds or longer.
    TIPThe LCD screen displays “Lamp Lit Change” if any of the following events occurs when the lamp mode is set to 
    “Dual”.
    • One of the lamps h\fias failed to turn on when you turn the lamps on
    •  One of the lamps h\fias extinguished whi\file the lamps are on
    To once again light a lamp which has failed to turn on or extinguished, press \foth the LAMP ON/OFF \futton and 
    the MENU \futton three seconds or longer. However, the lamp cannot \fe turned on again while the LAMP ON/
    OFF \futton indicato\fir is \flinking.

    3-7. Turning your projector off

    • When you turn the lamp on or c\fihange the lamp mode\fi
    The indicators of the POWER \futton and the LAMP ON/OFF \futton \flink green. The projector cannot \fe turned 
    off while the POWER \futton indicator is \flinking (in cycles of 2). The lamp cannot \fe turned off while the LAMP 
    ON/OFF \futton indica\fitor is \flinking.
    \bf  you  operate  the  POWER  \futton  or  LAMP  ON/OFF  \futton  while  the  indicators  are  \flinking,  the  LCD  screen 
    displays the warning screen \felow. The POWER \futton or LAMP ON/OFF \futton \fecomes opera\fle when the 
    amount of time remaining reaches 0.
    When you turn the lamp on or 
    change the lamp mod\fie
    1  Press the POWER button on the projector control panel for three seconds or longer\l. 
    The  lamp  is  turned  off,  the  POWER  \futton  indicator  \flinks  green,  and  the  STATUS  indicator  \flinks  orange  (cooling 
    state). 
    The fan will continue to rotate while cooling, and the amount of time remaining for cooling is displayed on the LCD 
    screen. The cooling-of\fif time is 90 secon\fids.
    When the cooling is finished, the POWER \futton indicator turns off and the status indicator lights orange (stand\fy 
    state).  KEY  LOCK  \fecomes  automatically  on  if  no  control  panel  operation  takes  place  in  the  stand\fy  state  for  30 
    seconds \fy default.\fi Buttons on the co\fintrol panel do not fu\finction while KEY L\fiOCK is on. (See pa\fige 33)
    2 Wait till the projector enters standby state before turning off the main power switch of the projector. 
    The POWER \futton in\fidicator is turned off and the main pow\fier is turned off.

    3 Turn off the AC power to the projector.
    NO TE\bn the following instances, do not turn off the main power switch or disconnect the AC power. Doing so can dam-
    age the projector.
    • While projecting images
    •  While the fan is r\fiunning after the po\fiwer is turned off (The cooling-off time is 90 secon\fids)

    Using Menus
    4-1. Basic operation with adjustm\lent menus
    To adjust the projector, display the menu\fi on the LCD screen of the projector control panel. 
    4-1-1. Screen display 
    The menu display screen is composed of a menu display field (the upper two lines) and a setting item display field (the \fottom 
    two lines). 
    ← Displays the main \fimenu or su\fmenus.
    ← Displays su\fmenus \fior selection items\fi.
    ← Displays settings \fiand selection stat\fius.
    ← Displays settings,\fi selected items an\fid information on selected\fi menus.
    The meanings of sym\fi\fols in the menu di\fisplay screen are outlined \felow. 
     
    \bndicates that ther\fie is a menu of a h\fiigher level. 
    Press the UP \futton t\fio return to a menu one le\fivel a\fove. 
     
    \bndicates that ther\fie is a selected it\fiem or menu at the \fisame level. 
    Press the LEFT/R\bGHT \fi\futton to display o\fither selected item\fis or menus. 
     
    \bndicates that ther\fie is a menu of a l\fiower level. 
    Press the DOWN \futton \fito display the men\fiu one level \felow. 
     
    \bndicates that ther\fie are setting items of \fia higher or lower l\fievel. 
    Press the UP \futton t\fio return to a menu one le\fivel a\fove. 
    Press the DOWN \futton \fito display the set\fiting item one level\fi \felow.

    4. Using Menus
    When not displayin\fig menus, the follow\fiing screen is normally displayed. 
    When in standby
    When the projector is in a st\fiand\fy state (the ma\fiin power switch in\fi on), the followin\fig is displayed. 
    When power is turned on
    When the power is \fiturned on, the follow\fiing is displayed. 
    ← Displays the lamp \fimode and lamp outp\fiut (%).
    ← Displays the lamp \fiusage time.
    ← Displays the selec\fited title.
    ← Displays the selec\fited video input po\firt.
    TIPWhen  the  lamp  mode  is  set  to  “Dual”  (\foth  lamp  1  and  lamp  2  turned  on;  see  page  44),  the  display  switches 
    \fetween the lamp 1 \fiand lamp 2 usage ti\fimes every 10 seconds.
    When the power is turned off 
    When you press the POWER \futton on the control panel of the projector for 3 or more seconds, the projector starts cooling. 
    When cooling finishes, the projector enters the stand\fy mode. The amount of time remaining for cooling is displayed as shown 
    \felow during coolin\fig. 
    When a button is pressed while the key lock function is on
    \bf a \futton on the control panel is pressed while the key lock function is on, the following is displayed and the \futton will not 
    function.

    4-1-2. Operating menus

    1 Press the ME\fU button on the control panel of your projector. 
    The menu is displa\fiyed in the LCD screen. 
    2 Press the LEFT/RIGHT buttons to display “Information.” 
    At  each  press  of  the  LEFT/R\bGHT  \futtons,  the  display  will  cycle  as  “Title  Select”  ←→  “Configuration” ←→  “(Title 
    Setup)” ←→ “\bnformation.” 
    3  Press the DOW\f button. 
    The su\fmenu “Lamp” \fiof “\bnformation” is display\fied. 
    The menu item can \fi\fe selected \fy pressing the ENTER \fut\fiton instead of the\fi DOWN \futton.
    To return to the previous state, press the UP \futton, \fior the EX\bT \futton.\fi 
    4 Press the LEFT/RIGHT button to select the submen\lu “Version.” 
    At  each  press  of  the  LEFT/R\bGHT  \futton,  the  display  will  cycle  as  “Lamp”  ←→  “Preset  Button” ←→  “Usage” ←→ 
    “Error Code” ←→ “Version” ←→ “\bP Address” ←→ “Setup Date” ←→ “Option Status.” 
    5  Press the DOW\f button. 
    The su\fmenu “System\fi” another rank low\fier than “Version” is display\fied.

    6 Press the DOW\f button. 
    The su\fmenu “B\bOS” \fianother rank lower\fi than “System” is \fidisplayed. 
    7 Press the LEFT/RIGHT button to select the submen\lu “Data.” 
    At each press of the LEFT/R\bGHT \futton, the display will cycle as “B\bOS”  ←→ “Firmware” ←→ “Data” ←→ “Lens” 
    ←→ “Serial No.” ←→ “Model,” and each\fi version information is displaye\fid. 
    8  Press the UP button several times. 
    At each press of the UP \futto\fin, the display wil\fil return to a menu one le\fivel a\fove.
