NO TE• Turn off the main power s\fiwitch to the projector when suppl\fiying or cutting AC \fipower to the projector. Supplying or shutti\fing down the AC powe\fir while the main p\fiower switch is on \fiwill damage the projector. • Turning on and off the projector involves a two-step operation; the “main power switch” and the “POWER \futton”. • Turning power on. (See\fi this page) [1] Turn on the “main pow\fier switch” of the \fiprojector. Your projector is set in \fia stand\fy state. [2] \bf KEY LOCK is on, \fipress the KEY LOCK \fu\fitton for one secon\fid or longer. KEY LOCK is off and \futtons on th\fie control panel \fecome ope\fira\fle. [3] Press the POWER \futto\fin three seconds or longe\fir. Your projector is turn on. • Turning power off. (See page 35) [1] Press the POWER \futto\fin three seconds or longe\fir. Your projector is turned off. 1 Remove the lens cap. 2 Check that the VOLTAGE SELECT switch is set to match the voltage of the power supply you are using. CAUTION: You should select a power ca\fle which is appropriate for the voltage of the electrical outlet you are connecting the projector to, and set the VOLTAGE SELECT switch properly. \bf the selection or setting is wrong, it may cause fires, or damage to the projector. The POWER \futton indicator will \flink green and the STATUS indicator will light orange (stand\fy state). KEY LOCK \fecomes automatically on if no control panel operation takes place in the stand\fy state for 30 secon\fids \fy default. Butt\fions on the control panel do not fu\finction while KEY L\fiOCK is on. (See pa\fige 33) Main power switch VOLTAGE SELECT switch 4 If KEY LOCK is on, press the KEY LOCK button for one second or lo\lnger. KEY LOCK \fecomes off. The KEY LOCK \futton indicator turns off and \futtons on the control panel \fecome opera\fle. (See page 33) 5 Press the POWER button on the control panel of your projector three seconds or longer\l. Your projector is turn on. When the startup of the projector completes, the status of the POWER \futton, DOUSER \futton, LAMP ON/OFF \fut- ton, and preset \futton (\futton\fi to ) change\fis as follows. The lamp is turned on and the screen glows light a\fout 15 seconds later. The LAMP ON/OFF \futton indicator \flinks in cycles of 2 (an\fid changes to steady\fi green light 90 second\fis later). The douser is closed until the screen glows light (the DOUSER \futton indicator lights green). When the douser is open, the DOUSER \fu\fitton indicator tur\fins off. NO TE• While your projector is on, \fe s\fiure to have the lens\fi cap removed from the lens. Otherwise, the len\fis cap may get defor\fimed due to a heat \fi\fuildup. • \bn the following instances, the power to your projector cannot \fe turned on even if you press the POWER \futton. - When the inside temperature is a\fnormally high. The protective function prevents power from turning on. Wait some time (unt\fiil the projector inside coo\fils down) and then \fiturn on the power. - When the STATUS indicator is \flinking in red without the lamp lighting up after power-on. Your projector may \fe in trou\fle. Check the error display on the LCD screen and contact your dealer/distri\futor \fi for instructions. • Note that the image may sometimes flicker until the lamp has sta\filized (5 to 10 minutes) after power-on. This is due to the char\fiacteristics of the\fi lamp and is not t\firou\fle of your projector.

Selecting the title\l of input signal This projector allows you to select pre-registered title (input signal) using the preset \futtons on the control panel (up to 16 titles). Request your dealer/distri\futor \fifor details on registering and changing titles. This section explains the steps for select- ing registered titles. 1 Turn on the power to the image devices connected to the projector. 2 Press the ME\fU button. 3 Press the LEFT/RIGHT button to display “Title Select” on the LCD screen. At each press of the LEFT/R\bGHT \futtons, the display will cycle as “Title Select” ←→ “Configuration” ←→ “(Title Setup)” ←→ “\bnformation.” 4 Press the DOW\f button. The title of the i\finput signal is disp\filayed. • When you have made\fi a wrong selection, press the UP \futton. \fiA return will \fe made to t\fihe previous menu. 5 Press the LEFT/RIGHT buttons to display “Title of Signal to be Projected” on the LCD screen. 6 Press the E\fTER button. The title of the s\fiignal to \fe projected is selecte\fid. • The (*) mark on th\fie LCD indicates tha\fit this is the curr\fiently selected ite\fim.

The title of the i\finput signal is disp\filayed. 4 Press the LEFT/RIGHT button to display “TEST Pattern” on the LCD screen. 5 Press the DOW\f button. The LCD screen enters the mod\fie where you can select a\fi test pattern. 6 Press the LEFT/RIGHT button. This switches the \fitest pattern name displayed o\fin the LCD screen.

To cancel the test \fipattern display, select the title\fi of the signal to p\firoject or select th\fie “OFF” test patte\firn. 3-4-2. Adjusting the positi\lon of the projected screen (Lens shift) 1 Press the ME\fU button. 2 Press the LEFT/RIGHT button to display “Configuration” on the LCD screen. 3 Press the DOW\f button. 4 Press the LEFT/RIGHT button to display “Lens Control” on the LCD screen. 5 Press the DOW\f button. The screen (“Lens Positio\fin”) to adjust the \fiposition of the pr\fiojected screen is displayed. \fi 6 Press the UP/DOW\f/LEFT/RIGHT button. The position of th\fie projected screen moves in the s\fielected direction. 7 Press the EXIT button when adjustment\l is complete.
