Page 51 6-4 Monitor Test 1. Select “MONITOR TEST” on the menu screen to test and adjust the Monitor. The following screen is displayed. 2. Use the Select Up/Down switch to choose the required item then press the Enter button. To return to the Monitor Test Menu from a test pattern press the Enter button. 3. Select “EXIT” and press the Enter button to return to the menu screen. (a) Displays a colour gradation pattern. (b) Displays a crosshatch pattern for the CRT monitor. Page 52 6-5 Sound Test 1. Select “SOUND TEST” on the menu screen to test the audio and adjust the volume settings. The following screen is displayed. 2. Use the Select Up/Down switch to choose the required item then press the Enter button. 3. Use the Up/Down switch to change the setting. 4. Press the Enter button to return to item select mode 5. Select “EXIT” and press the Enter button to return to the menu screen. (a) GAME This sets the volume level of the sound during the Game Mode. [0 ~15, DEFAULT = 08] (b) ATTRACT This sets the volume level of the sound during the Attract Mode. [0 ~15, DEFAULT = 08] (c) REQUEST SONG No. Each number produces a different sound each time the service button is pressed. (The sound will turn off after approx 10 seconds) Number 001 will produce a stereo test. Sound will be produced from the left speaker then the right speaker and then both speakers. The message on the screen will display which speaker is active. (d) Displays details of the Request Song No. selected. (c) Displays the Serial Number of the Game Software. (d) Sets the Speedometer reading displayed on the screen. When US is selected, speed is shown in Miles/hour. When EU is selected, speed is shown in Kilometers/hour (e) Checks the correct functioning of the DVD Player. ( see 6-7-1 page 58) (f) When selected the Data Initialization Menu appears. To reset all game settings to factory setting and clear all stored data, select YES from the Data Initialization menu then press the Enter button. After initializing the backup data ensure that the game is re-initialize\ d. INITIALIZATION Adjustments when Replacing Parts The following operation must always be performed after replacing the Game PCB, Game Software, Control Potentiometers or if the Data has been initialized. The game will not operate correctly if these adjustments are not made. 1. Slide the TEST switch ON while pressing the SERVICE switch, or select “GO TO [I/F INITIALIZE” from the I/O Test menu screen. The following screen is displayed. 2. Ensure that the steering wheel is set to its centre position and both the accelerator and brake pedals are released. 3. Press the Service Switch to set to the new limits. 4. Press the Enter Switch. The display will change to the Switch Test screen. Turn the Steering Wheel and depress the Brake and Accelerator Pedals to confirm that the steering and pedal controls are working correctly. 4. Slide the Test switch OFF. Page 60 8. MAINTENANCE Adjustment or maintenance on this machine should be carried out by qualified personnel only. Ensure that the POWER to the machine is turned OFF before commencing any maintenance work.
