Page 62 4. To replace the throttle grip, slide the grip off the shaft. 5. When replacing the grip ensure that the end of the spring engages in the\ hole in throttle grip quadrant gear and the rotational position of the p\ ot shaft is correct. (see diagram below) Note: When engaging the grip base and the spur gear , the grub screw (M4x10) of the spur gear should be positioned at the upper side (vertical) whe\ n the throttle is wide open. Note:After re-assembly and refitting in to the bike, ensure that the game is re-initialized before normal game pla y. (see section 7 page 54)
Page 63 8-6 Replacing the Steering Potentiometer 1. Remove 5off Security screw (M5x10) and remove the Steering Cover Vac-Form. 2. Disconnect the connector 3. Loosen the grub screw (M4x10) and remove the potentiometer complete with bracket. 4. Replace the potentiometer taking care to connect the correct colour wire to the correct terminal. When replacing the potentiometer ensure that the locating tab engages in the hole in the pot bracket and that the grub screw engages on the flat of the potentiometer shaft.
Page 64 8-7 Removing the Handle Bar Assembly 1. Remove the steering cover vac-form. (see section 8-6 (1) page 63) 2. Disconnect the connector. 3. Remove 2off Pozi head screw (M5x10) and remove the Cable Joint Plate. 4. Remove the Pozi head screw (M4x12) to disconnect the Earth Tag. 5. Remove 8off Socket cap screws (M8x20) and remove the left and right support brackets. 6. Lift the Handle Bar assembly from the bike moulding only sufficient to disconnect the motor connector, then remove the Handle Bar assembly. Page 65 8-8 Replacing the Steering Drive Belt 1. Remove the Steering assembl y. (see section 8-7 (1-4) page 64) 2 . Remove the Steering Potentiomete r. (see section 8-6 (2-3) page 63) 3. Slacken the 4off Hex head screws (M6x16). 4. Slacken the Lock Nut (M6) and Adjustment Screw (M6x50), to remove th\ e tension from the Drive Belt, and remove the Drive Belt. 5. Reassemble in reverse order. 6. After re-assembly and refitting in to the bike, ensure that the game is re-initialized before normal game pla y. (see section 7 page 54) Note: When refitting the Drive Belt adjust the Adjuster screw (M6x50) to obt\ ain abelt tension of 7.5~9.5kgf. When tensioned correctly a 0.5kgf, applied t\ o thebelt as shown, will allow 1.0~1.5mm movement of the belt and a 1kgfapplied will allow 2.0~2.5mm of movement. Tighten the Lock Nut (M6) to\ prevent the adjuster screw from moving.
