Direct Inward Dial (DID) Trunks 
Description 
Direct Inward Dialing (DID) allows subscribers on the Public Switched 
Network to have direct access to PABX extensions without Attendant as- 
sistance. The Central Office (CO) transmits the desired destination 
number to the PABX. 
The trunk’s Class of Service controls DID caller access to features and 
services.

Point (fields e,f,g) to 000 (Night Bell Only), 001 - 160 (Extension

Direct Inward System Access-(DISA) 
Description 
Direct Inward System Access (DISA) allows a trunk caller direct access to 
the PABX without attendant intervention. A DISA Trunk user hears one 
burst of ringback tone before the SX-50 system automatically answers 
and provides DPABX dial tone. - 
A 3-digit DISA Access Code or Verified Authorization Code can be required 
at this point. The caller must enter the code, after which DPABX dial tone is

a specific trunk directly via a Line Select key. This line can be used for 
incoming or outgoing calls and can appear on several SUPERSET tele-

line, using the PRIVACY RELEASE Feature ( SUPERSET 4 ) or the 
Superkey key ( SUPERSET 420 ).
