    Using your calculator
    1.	 On	the	Home	 screen,	 touch		>	Apps	 tab	>	Calculator .
    2.	 	
    Touch	 the	number	 keys	to	enter	 numbers.

    For	 simple	 calculations,	 touch	the	function	 you	want	(

    followed	 by	.
     NOTE
    	 For 	more	 complex	 calculations,	 touch	the	Menu Key	,	select	 Advanced	 panel,	then	
    choose	 the	desired	 function.
    Adding an event to your calendar
    1.	 On	the	Home	 screen,	 touch		>	Apps	 tab	>	Calendar .
    2.	 Touch	
    	 to	 select	 from	the	following	 Calendar	views:	Day,	Week,	
    Month,	 Agenda.
    3.	 Touch	 on	the	 date	 you	want	 to	add	 an	event	 on.
    4.	 Touch	
    	 and	 select	 the	account	 where	you	want	 to	save	 the	event	 (if	
    applicable).
    5.	 Touch	 the	Event name	 field	and	enter	 the	event	 name.
    6.	 Touch	 the	Location	 field	and	enter	 the	location.	 Check	the	date	 and	
    enter	 the	time	 you	want	 your	event	 to	start	 and	finish.
    7.	 	
    If	you	 want	 to	add	a	 note	to	your	 event,	 touch	the	Description	 field	and	
    enter	 the	details.
    8.	 	
    If	you	 want	 to	repeat	 the	alarm,	 set	REPEAT,	 and	set	REMINDERS,	 if	
    necessary.
    9.	 	
    Touch	 Save	to	save	 the	event	 in	the	 calendar.

    Polaris Viewer 4 
    Polaris	Viewer	4	 is	a	professional	 mobile	office	solution	 that	lets	users	
    conveniently	 view	various	 types	of	office	 documents,	 including	Word,	Excel	
    and	 PowerPoint	 files,	anywhere,	 anytime,	using	their	mobile	 devices.
    On	 the	 Home	 screen,	 touch	
    	>	Apps	 tab	>	Polaris Viewer 4 .
    Viewing files
    Mobile	 users	can	now	 easily	 view	a	 wide	variety	 of	file	 types,	 including	
    Microsoft	 Office	documents	 and	Adobe	 PDF,	right	on	their	 mobile	 devices.	
    When	 viewing	 documents	 using	Polaris	 Viewer	 4,	the	 objects	 and	layout	
    remain	 the	same	 as	in	their	 original	 documents.
    Your Navigator Deluxe
    With	Your	Navigator	 Deluxe,	get	all	of	the	 features	 of	an	 advanced	 car	
    navigation	 system	on	your	 mobile	 phone	with	voice	 turn-by-turn	 navigation	
    enabled	 by	GPS.	 Search	 for	any	 destination	 including	gas	stations,	 ATMs,	
    restaurants,	 and	more.	 Get	detailed	 maps	of	any	 location.	
    1.	 	
    In	order	 to	use	 Your	 Navigator	 Deluxe,	you	must	 first	turn	 on	your 	
    phones	 location	 and	GPS	 settings.	 On	the	 Home	 screen,	 touch	
    	
    >	 Settings		>	 Location access.	 Touch	.	Make	 sure	that	GPS 
    satellites	 is	active.
    2.	 	
    After	 activating	 your	location	 and	GPS	 settings,	 press	the	Home Key 	
    	and	 touch		>	Your Navigator Deluxe	.
    From	 the	Your	 Navigator	 Deluxe	Home	screen	 you	can	select	
    •	 "Drive To"	 for	turn	 by	turn	 direction	 to	an	 address,	 airport,	contacts	
    addresses	 and	more.
    •	 "Maps"	 to	see	 where	 you	currently	 are	located	 on	a	map	 and	what	 traffic	
    is	 in	 the	 area.
    •	 "Places"	 to	search	 for	nearby	 businesses,	 the	cheapest	 gas	prices	 and	
    more.

    Play Store
    Play	Store	 allows	 you	to	browse	 and	search	 for	free	 and	paid	 applications.
    To open the Play Store application

    the	Home	 screen,	 touch		
    >	 Play Store	.	When	 you	open	 the	
    Play Store	 application	for	the	 first	 time,	 you	must	 read	and	accept	 the	
    terms	 of	service	 to	continue.
    Touch	 here	to	search	 for	the	
    apps.
    To download the applications
      NOTE
    	 Before	 you	can	download	a	 paid	application,	 you	must	 set	up	a	 billing	 arrangement.
    1.		
    Find	 an	application	 you	want	 and	open	 its	details	 screen.
    2.	 	
    Touch	 the	Install	 button	 (free	apps)	 or	Price	 button	 (paid	apps).	 The	
    screen	 will	display	 if	the	 application	 requires	access	to	your	 data	or	
    control	 of	any	 functions	 on	your	 phone.	 The	Play	 Store	 application	 tells	
    you	 what	 it	can	 access	 if	you	 continue	 with	the	download.

    If	you	 agree	 to	the	 application’s	 access	requirements,	 touch	Accept & 	
    download	 (for	free	 applications)	 or	Accept & buy	 (for	paid	 applications.).

    To get help with Play Store
    Play	 Store	 Help	web	pages	 are	available	 from	all	Play	 Store	 screens.
    Touch	 the	Menu Key	
     >	 Help.
    The	 Browser	 application	 opens	to	the	 Play	 Store	 Help	page,	 with	links	 to	
    many	 help	topics.
     NOTE 
    After	you	open	 an	app,	 you	can	usually	 adjust	its	settings	 by	touching	 the	Menu Key	.

    The	Browser 	gives 	you 	a	fast, 	full-color 	world 	of 	games, 	music, 	news, 	sport,	
    entertainment	 and	much	 more,	 right	on	your	 mobile	 phone.	 Wherever	 you	
    are	 and	 whatever	 you	enjoy.

    Using the web toolbar
    		Touch	 to	go	 back	a	 page.
    	 		Touch	 to	go	 forwards	a	 page,	to	the	 page	 you	connected	 to	after	 the	
    current	 one.	This	is	the	 opposite	 of	what	 happens	 when	you	press	 the	
    Back	 Key 
    ,	which	 goes	to	the	 previous	 page.
    	 Go	to	the	 home	 page.
    	 Touch	 to	add	a	 new	window.
    	 Touch	 to	access	 your	bookmarks.
    Using options
    Touch	 the	Menu Key		to	 view	 the	following	 options.
    Refresh	–	 Update	the	current	 web	page.
    Save to bookmarks	–	 Add	the	current	 web	page	 as	bookmark.
    Share page	–	 Allows	you	to	share	 the	web	 page	 with	others.
    Find on page	–	 Allows	you	to	find	 letters	 or	words	 on	the	 current	 web	page.
    Desktop view	–	 Allows	you	to	view	 the	web	 page	 in	desktop	 view.
    Save for offline reading	–	 Allows	you	to	save	 the	current	 page	offline	 so	
    you	 can	read	 it	later.
    Settings	–	 Displays	Browser	 settings.
    Exit	–	 Exits	the	web	 page	 and	closes	 the	Browser.

    To access your phone's settings
    On	the	 Home	 screen,	 touch		>	Apps	 tab	>	Settings .
    OR
    On	 the	 Home	 screen,	 tap	the	 Menu Key	
    	>	System settings.
    Wireless & Networks
    
    After	 switching	 to	airplane	 mode,	all	wireless	 connections	 are	disabled.
    < Wi-Fi >
    Touch	 the	switch		to	 turn	 on	Wi-Fi	 to	connect	 to	available	 Wi-Fi	
    networks.
      Ti P! How to obtain the MAc
     address
    To 	set	 up	a	 connection	 in	some	 wireless	 networks	 with	MAC	 filters,	 you	may	 need	 to	
    enter	 the	MAC	 address	 of	your	 LG	OPTIMUS	 F7™
    	into	 the	router.
    Yo u 	can	 find	 the	MAC	 address	 in	the	 following	 user	interface:	 On	the	 Home	 screen,	
    touch	
    	>	 Apps	 tab	>	Settings		>	Wi-Fi	>	 Menu Key		>	Advanced	>	 MAC 
    Address.
    < Bluetooth >
    Touch 	the 	switch 		to 	turn 	on 	Bluetooth 	to 	connect 	to 	Bluetooth 	devices.
    < Mobile data >
    Displays	 the	data	 usage	 and	set	mobile	 data	limit.
    < Call >
    Yo u	can	 configure	 phone	call	settings	 such	as	Voicemail	 and	other	 special	
    features	 offered	by	your	 carrier.
    < Share & Connect >
    NFC	-	 Touch	 the	switch		to	 toggle	 NFC	on	and	 off.
     NOTE
    	 NFC 	(Near	 Field	Communication)	 is	a	wireless	 technology	 that	enables	 data	transmission	
    between	 two	objects	 when	they	are	brought	 within	a	 few	inches	 of	each	 others.	 When	
    you	 enable	 NFC	on	your	 phone,	 your	phone	 can	exchange	 data	with	 other	 NFC-enabled	
    devices	 or	read	 information	 from	smart	 tags	embedded	 in	posters,	 stickers,	 and	other

    products.	From	the	NFC	 settings	 menu,	you	can	manage	 direct	sharing	 and	pairing	
    Bluetooth	 via	NFC.	
    Direct/Android Beam	-	 Touch	the	switch		to	 toggle	 Direct/Android	
    Beam	 on	and	 off.
    When	 this	feature	 is	turned	 on,	you	 can	beam	 app	contents	 or	files	 to	other	
    NFC	 and	Wi-Fi	 Direct(and	 Android	Beam	devices)	 devices	by	holding	 the	
    devices	 close	together.	
    For	 example,	 you	can	beam	 Browser	 pages,	YouTube	 videos,	contacts,	 and	
    more.	 And	you	can	beam	 images/videos	 from	the	Gallery,	 music	from	the	
    Music,	 and	documents	 from	the	Polaris	 Viewer	 4.	Just	 bring	 the	devices	
    together	 (typically	 back	to	back)	 and	then	 touch	 your	screen.	 The	app	
    determines	 what	gets	beamed.	
    Miracast 	-	Yo u 	can 	mirror 	phone 	screen 	and 	sound 	onto 	LG 	Miracast 	dongle 	
    or	 TV	 wirelessly.	
     NOTE
    	 To	start	 the	Miracast	 feature	quickly,	 touch	the	Miracast	 icon		in	 the	 Notifications	
    Panel.	 While	mirroring,	 Wi-Fi	or	Mobile	 Hotspot	 cannot	be	used	 simultaneously.	
    SmartShare Beam	-	 Enable	to	receive	 file	from	 LG	phones.
    File networking	-	 File	Networking	 requires	wireless	 connection.	 Make	sure	
    that	 devices	 are	using	 same	 AP(Access	 Point).	Network	 folder	sharing	 may	
    use	 more	 battery.	
    < Tethering & Networks >
    Portable Wi-Fi hotspot	–	 Yo u	can	 configure	 the	portable	 Wi-Fi	hotspot	
    settings.
    Help	-	 Displays	 help	information	 about	the	portable	 Wi-Fi	hotspot	 feature.
    VPN	–	 Displays	 the	list	of	Virtual	 Private	 Networks	 (VPNs)	that	you've	
    previously	 configured.	 Allows	you	to	add	 different	 types	of	VPN.
    Mobile networks	–	 Allows	you	to	enable/disable	 data,	data	roaming,	 and	
    select	a	 network	 mode	and	system.

    Quiet time	–	Set	times	 to	turn	 off	all	sounds	 except	alarm	and	media.
    Sound profile	–	 Yo u	can	 choose	 Sound, Vibrate only	 or	Silent.
    Volumes	–	 Yo u	can	 manage	 the	volumes	 for	various	 phone	settings.
    Ringtone with vibration	–	 Vibration	feedback	 for	calls	 and	notifications.
    Phone ringtone	–	 Allows	you	to	set	 your	 default	 incoming	 call	ringtone.
    Notification sound	–	 Allows	you	to	set	 your	 default	 notification	 ringtone.
    Vibrate type - Allows	 you	to	choose	 the	vibration	 type.
    Gentle vibration	-	 Gradually	increases	 the	vibration	 up	to	the	 current	
    strength	 set.
    Vibrate strength	-	 Set	the	vibrate	 strength	 for	calls,	 notifications,	 and	touch	
    feedback.
    Incoming call vibration	-	 Select	the	type	 of	vibration	 to	use	 for	incoming	
    calls.
    Dial pad touch tones	–	 Allows	you	to	set	 the	 phone	 to	play	 tones	 when	
    using	 the	dial	 pad	 to	dial	 numbers.
    Touch sounds	–	 Allows	you	to	set	 your	 phone	 to	play	a	 sound	 when	you	
    touch	 buttons,	 icons	and	other	 on-screen	 items	that	react	 to	your	 touch.
    Screen lock sound	–	 Allows	you	to	set	 your	 phone	 to	play	a	 sound	 when	
    locking	 and	unlocking	 the	screen.
    Emergency tone	–	 Allows	you	to	set	 emergency	 tone	as	Off,	 Alert	 or	
    Vibrate.
    Vibrate on touch	-	 Checkmark	if	you	 want	 the	phone	 to	vibrate	 when	
    touching	 keys.
    < Display >
    Brightness	–	 Adjust	the	screen	 brightness.

    Screen timeout	–	Set	the	time	 for	screen	 timeout.
    Smart screen	-	 Checkmark	if	you	 want	 to	keep	 screen	 on	when	 the	phone	
    detects	 your	eyes	 looking	 at	the	 screen.
    Auto-rotate screen	–	 Set	to	switch	 orientation	 automatically	 when	you	
    rotate	 the	phone.
    Font type	-	 Choose	the	desired	 font	type.
    Font size	–	 Change	the	size	 of	the	 display	 font.
    Front touch key light	–	 Set	the	front	 key	LED	 time.
    Home button LED	-	 Select	the	item	 you	wish	 to	apply	 LED	lighting.
    Motion sensor calibration	-	 Improve	the	accuracy	 of	the	 tilt	and	 speed	 of	
    the	 sensor.
    < Home screen >
    Theme  -	Allows	 you	to	set	 the	 screen	 theme	for	your	 device.
    Screen swipe effect	-	 Allows	you	to	select	 the	effect	 to	use	 when	 you	
    swipe	 to	change	 screens.
    Wallpaper	-	 Allows	you	to	set	 the	 wallpaper	 to	use	 on	your	 Home	 screen.
    Scroll screens circularly	-	 Checkmark	to	set	 the	 Home	 screens	 to	scroll	
    continuously,	 eliminating	the	need	 to	scroll	 back	in	the	 opposite	 direction	
    when	 you	reach	 one	end.
    Portrait view only	-	 Checkmark	this	setting	 so	that	 the	Home	 screen	 is	
    always	 displayed	 in	portrait	 view.
    Home backup & restore	-	 Allows	you	to	backup	 and	restore	 app,	widget	
    and	 theme	 configurations.
    < Lock screen >
    Select screen lock	–	 Set	a	screen	 lock	to	secure	 your	phone.	 Yo u	can	 set	
    Swipe,	 Face Unlock,	 Pattern,	PIN,	Password	 or	leave	 it	as 	None.
    When	 you	turn	 on	your	 phone	 or	wake	 up	the	 screen,	 you're	asked	to	enter	
    your	 unlock	 sequence	 to	unlock	 the	screen.

    Wallpaper	–	Yo u	can	 set	the	 lock	 screen	 wallpaper	 from	the	Gallery	 or	
    Wallpaper gallery.
    Clocks & shortcuts	-	 Customize	clocks	and	shortcuts	 on	the	 lock	 screen.
    Screen effect	-	 Choose	the	desired	 screen	effect	when	you	swipe	 the	
    screen	 to	unlock	 the	phone.
    Owner info	–	 Show	owner	 information	 on	the	 lock	 screen.
    Lock timer	-	 Select	the	lock	 timer	 duration.
    Power button instantly locks	-	 Checkmark	so	that	 pressing	 the	
    Power/Lock Key	
    	 instantly	 locks	the	phone.
    Vibrate on touch	-	 Checkmark	if	you	 want	 the	phone	 to	vibrate	 when	
    entering	 your	unlock	 sequence.
    < Gestures >
    Move Home screen items	-	 If	you	 checkmark	 this,	you	can	move	 to	other	
    Home	 screen	 canvases	 by	tilting	 the	phone	 while	you	press	 and	hold	 an	
    item.	
    Tilt sensitivity	-	 When	the	Move	 home	 screen	 items	option	 is	
    checkmarked,	 you	can	test	 and	adjust	 sensitivity	 of	tilt	 sensor	 for	the	 Home	
    screen	 and	applications.	
    Silence incoming calls	-	 Checkmark	to	set	 the	 phone	 to	silence	 incoming	
    calls	 by	just	 flipping	 the	phone.	
    Snooze or stop alarm	-	 Checkmark	to	set	 the	 phone	 to	snooze	 or	stop	 the	
    alarm	 by	just	 flipping	 the	phone.	
    Pause video	-	 Checkmark	to	set	 the	 phone	 to	pause	 videos	 by	just	 flipping	
    the	 phone.
    Help	-	 Provides	 help	information	 on	some	 of	the	 gestures	 features

    Dial keypad	-	 Allows	you	to	touch	 the	arrow	 to	adjust	 the	position	 of	the	
    dial	 keypad	 to	the	 left	or	right.
