41Messaging Conversation skin Allows you to select the desired conversation skin. Notification • Notifications: Enable this option if you wish to receive a notification in the Status Bar when a new text or multimedia message arrives. • Preview: Enable this option if you wish to preview the contents of messages when new messages arrive. • New message popup: Enable this option if you wish to see a new message as a pop-up. • Notification sound: Allows you to select a ringer to sound when a new message is received. Ta p this option, and then select a ringtone that is specific to new text and multimedia messages. A sample will briefly be played upon selection. • Vibrate: Enable this option if you want the phone to vibrate when a new text or multimedia message is received. • Message Reminder: Enable this option if you wish the phone to remind you at every 2 minutes about the messages you haven't read. Quick message Ta p this to add or edit quick messages. Quick message is the specified text message to send out when you want to ignore an incoming call and respond to the caller with instead. Emergency alerts settings • Presidential alert: Enable this option if you wish presidential alerts to be always presented. This is set to enabled by default. • Extreme alert: Enable this option to receive extreme alerts. • Severe alert: Enable this option to receive severe alerts. • AMBER alert: Enable this option to receive AMBER alerts on child abduction.
42Email Yo u can use the Email application to read emails from services other than Gmail. The Email application supports the following account types: POP3, IMAP and Exchange. Your service provider or system administrator can provide the account settings you need. Managing an email account The first time you open the Email application, a setup wizard opens to help you to set up an email account. To add another email account: # Open Email and touch the Menu Key > Accounts > Menu Key > Add Account. After the initial setup, Email displays the contents of your Inbox. If you have added more than one account, you can switch among accounts. To change an email account's settings: # Open Email and touch the Menu Key > Account settings. To delete an email account: # Open Email and touch the Menu Key > Account settings > Remove account > Yes. Email account screen – Touch the folder icon to open the account folders. - Touch to search your email. - Touch to compose a new email. Touch the Menu Key to access additional options.
43Email Working with account folders Each account has an Inbox, Outbox, Sent and Drafts folder. Depending on the features supported by your account's service provider, you may have additional folders. Composing and sending email To compose and send a message 1. Open the Email application and touch . 2. Enter an address for the message's intended recipient. As you enter text, matching addresses are offered from your Contacts. Separate multiple addresses with semicolon. 3. Touch the Meny Key to add Cc/Bcc and add attachment files if required. 4. Enter the message. 5. Touch to send the message. If you aren't connected to a network, for example, if you're working in airplane mode, the messages that you send are stored in your Outbox folder until you're connected to a network again. If it contains any pending messages, the Outbox is displayed if you touch . Ti P! When a new email arrives in the inbox, you will receive a notification by sound or vibration (depending on your settings). Yo u will also receive a notification in the Status Bar.
44Camera Getting to know the viewfinder Swap camera – Switch between the rear–facing camera lens and the front–facing camera lens. Cheese shutter – Take photo with voice command (saying "Cheese", "Smile", "Whisky", "Kimchi" or "LG"). Time catch shot – Allows you to capture the missing moment by taking five sequential pictures at once before the shutter key is touched. Shot mode – Choose from Normal, HDR, Panorama, Continuous shot. Settings – Access the Settings menu. Mode switch – Allows you to switch between camera mode and video mode. Capture – Takes a photo. Gallery – Allows you to view the last photo you captured. This enables you to access your Gallery and view saved photos within camera mode. Taking a quick photo 1. Open the Camera application. 2. Hold the phone and point the lens towards the subject you want to photograph. 3. Touch the subject and a focus box will appear in the center of the viewfinder screen.
45Camera 4. When the focus box turns green, the camera has focused on your subject. 5. Touch to capture the image. Once you've taken the photo Touch the image preview at the bottom of the screen to view the last photo you captured. Touch to share via SmartShare. Touch to return to Camera mode to take another picture. Touch to share your photo using any supported applications. TiP! If you have a social networking account and set it up on your phone, you can share your photo with the social networking community. Touch to delete the image. Touch the Menu Key to open the following options. Set image as – Touch to set the image as a Contact photo, Home screen wallpaper or Lock screen wallpaper. Move – Touch to move the image to another album. Copy - Touch to copy the image to another folder. Rename – Touch to edit the name of the selected picture. Rotate left/right – Touch to rotate the image to the left or right. Crop – Crop your photo. Move your finger across the screen to select the area. Edit - View and edit the pictures. Improves color qualities in different lighting conditions. Applies artistic effects to the pictures. Applies color effects to the pictures. Applies additional options to the pictures. Slideshow – Displays your images in a slideshow.
46Camera Details – Displays the picture information. Using the advanced settings In the viewfinder, touch to open the advanced options. – Edit quick menu to edit the quick menus on the viewfinder. – Flash to set the Flash mode. Choose from Off, On, or Auto. – Zoom to zoom in or out. – Brightness to adjust the brightness setting compatible with the environment. – Focus to set a focus mode. Choose from Auto or Face tracking. – Image size to set the size of your picture. – Scene mode to choose a scene mode setting. Choose from Normal, Portrait, Landscape, Sports, Sunset, Night, and Smart shutter. – ISO to control the camera's sensitivity to light. Choose from Auto (default), 400, 200, or 100. – White balance to select how the camera adjusts colors in different kinds of light in order to achieve the most natural-looking colors for your pictures. Choose from Auto, Incandescent, Sunny, Fluorescent, or Cloudy. – Color effect to apply different color effects to your pictures. Choose from None, Mono, Sepia, or Negative. – Timer to set your camera's timer. This is ideal if you want to be a part of the picture. – Geotagging to use your phone's location-based services. Take pictures wherever you are and tag them with the location. If you upload tagged pictures to a blog that supports geotagging, you can see the pictures displayed on a map.

Video size – Define the resolution from Full HD (1920x1080), HD (1280x720), TV(720x480), VGA(640x480), MMS(320x240), MMS(176x144). Live Effect – Allows you to put various effects when recording a video. Choose an effect and touch . Flash – Allows you to turn on the flash when recording a video in a dark place. Settings – Access the Settings menu. Mode switch – Allows you to switch between video mode and camera mode. Record – Touch to start recording a video. Gallery – Touch to view the last video you recorded. This enables you to access your Gallery and view your saved videos from within video mode. Recording a quick video 1. Open the Camera application and touch the Mode switch button . 2. The video camera viewfinder appears on the screen. 3. Holding the phone, point the lens towards the subject you want to capture in your video.
49Video camera 4. Touch once to start recording. 5. A red light appears at the top corner of the viewfinder with a timer showing the length of the video. 6. Touch on the screen to stop recording. After recording a video Touch the image preview at the bottom of the screen to view the last video you recorded. Touch to play the video. Touch to share via SmartShare. Touch to return to Camera mode to take another picture or record a video. Touch to share the video via any supported applications. Touch to delete the video you just made. Confirm by touching Yes. The viewfinder reappears. Touch the Menu Key to open the following options. Move – Touch to move the video to another album. Copy - Touch to copy the video to another album. Rename – Touch to edit the name of the selected video. Details – Touch to see a detailed information, such as the name, date, time, size and type. Using the advanced settings Using the viewfinder, touch to open the the advanced options. – Edit quick menu to edit the quick menus on the viewfinder. – Zoom to zoom in or out. – Brightness to adjust the brightness setting compatible with the environment. – White balance to select how the camcorder adjusts colors in different kinds of light in order to achieve the most natural-looking colors for your videos. Choose from Auto, Incandescent, Sunny,

Choose from None, Mono, Sepia, or Negative. – Geotagging to use your phone's location-based services. Take pictures wherever you are and tag them with the location. If you upload tagged pictures to a blog that supports geotagging, you can see the pictures displayed on a map. – Audio recording to choose whether to turn on or off voice recording. – Auto review to enable auto review of your video. – Storage to choose where to save your videos. – Reset to restore all camera default settings. – Video help guide to see the help guide whenever you want to know how a function operates.
