3Check the gear teeth on the following parts for damage:
• Left transfer belt lift assembly plunger (B)
• Right transfer belt lift assembly plunger (C)
• Transfer belt lift handle (D)
Are the gear teeth on any of these parts damaged?Replace the 
appropriate 
assemblies. See

page 4-23 or 
“Transfer belt

5The transfer belt alignment must be correct on both sides 
for proper operation. The top of the transfer belt (E) and 
the top of the right side cover (F) must be parallel, as 
shown in the following image.
The metal edge at the top of the registration frame 
assembly (G) must be parallel to the top of the transfer 
belt (H), as shown in the following image:
Is the transfer belt alignment correct?Go to next step. Replace the 
appropriate

6The timing marks must be aligned for proper operation.
Check the timing marks (E) located on the following 
components:
• Left transfer belt lift assembly plunger
• Right transfer belt lift assembly plunger
• Transfer belt lift handle
