2Remove any jammed paper.
NOTE: If the paper tears, remove any loose scraps from inside the

installed, raise the Duplex Unit 
and remove any paper.

1If jammed paper shows through 
the Paper Output Slot, pull it out to 
remove it.
NOTE: If the paper tears, remove any loose scraps from inside the 
machine.
2Pull up the Left Cover handle and 
open the Left Cover.
3Remove any jammed paper.
NOTE: If the paper tears, remove any loose scraps from inside the 
machine.
4Close the Left Cover.

Optional Document Processor
If a paper jam occurs in the 
optional Document Processor, 
perform the following procedure 
to remove the jammed original(s).
1Remove all the originals 
remaining on the Original Table.
2Open the Document Processor 
Left Cover.
3Remove the jammed original.
NOTE: If the original tears, remove any loose scraps from inside the 
Document Processor. Failure to do so may cause another paper jam later.
4Raise the Paper Feed Unit (A)

5Turn the dial as shown in the 
illustration to remove the jammed 
original.
6Close the Left Cover.
7Reload all the originals and start copying again.
Optional Finisher
If a paper jam occurs in the 
Optional Finisher, perform the 
following procedure to remove the 
jammed paper.
IMPORTANT: The drum section is sensitive to scratches and 
contaminants. When removing paper, be careful not to touch or scratch it 
with your watch, jewelry, etc.
